You Americans made DBZ a children's TV show. Animes like Dragon Ball are ment for teens, from 14 years old and so on. And how is it for kids? Because it is animated? It has A LOT of inappropriate content, both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Is cursing and bitching in almost every episode for kids? Is a hole in the stomach full with blood, while he is throwing up blood for kids? Is cutting a human's hand without anesthicia for kids? Is a perverted old man reading porn magazines, and touching a woman's breasts or butt, or even placing his face between a woman's breasts for a "puff-puff" for kids? And middle fingers too? Are you SERIOUS!?
But of course, Funimation did a greeeeat job, Bardock is a brilliant scientist after all!
Just to note I'm not originally from America either. DBZ was a kids' show where I came from too, my cousins had the toys for crying out loud. Granted it was edited, but all was visual if I remember correctly. Eventually it was shown uncut but all the time it was still the Mexican dub which is one of the most faithfully dubs for DBZ.

I hate to break it to you, young fellow, but no matter how 'hardcore' you want Dragonball to be, it was published in Shounen Jump. I guess I will break down that down for your benefit.
少年; 少 is the kanji for few and 年 is the kanji for years. Do you know what that means? It is for YOUNG boys. Just because your cultural standards allow you to interpret it as 'mature' (because poop jokes are), doesn't mean it is or ever was.

In my country, the DVDs say it's for ages 14 and up, and it's not even the Japanese version, and no, it's not bitching (I'm from Greece, but I don't support the Greek dub, guess who are Songotrunks and Vegetagoku  ). Anyway, even if it's a kids show, the majority of the show is not childish.
Age ratings on DVDs have absolutely no relevance in this matter. In America, Naruto is rated as appropriate for ages 16+ on the uncut sets. That doesn't mean Naruto is R rated. Viz just gives it that rating to not upset prude American parents that can't accept that a 12 year old stabs people and transforms into a nude woman in a children's show. Age ratings are also inconsistent. Bandai rated Cowboy Bebop as appropriate for ages 13+. If you blindly accept age ratings as an accurate representation of the series, Naruto is a badass R rated hardcore show meant for adults. Cowboy Bebop is a nice little PG-13 bit of fun geared towards a younger audience than Naruto. Stop letting an age rating tell you how "mature" a show is and accept that you enjoy a childish series made for Japanese kids.

Aaanyway...

Uhh... guess I haven't actually mentioned my least favorite filler. Hmm, some of the Namek padding is pretty lousy. Ginyu-Bulma is pretty bad.

If I can say one thing. The guy who's saying DBZ is for adults is obviously a troll. Successful troll is successful. I thought daizex was more classy than this.

OT: Least favorite filler is definitely the Garlic Jr. arc.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

I didn't start this, OK? It's my opinion and lol, I didn't say it's for ADULTS(for Gods sake) I said it's for TEENS. So stop call me a troll.

On-topic: Why everyone hates the Garlic Jr. arc so much? It is the only arc (besides the Ano Yo-ichi Budoukai arc) to have some actual fight and serious plot, and everyone likes better little Gohan's adventures, Space adventures on the way to Namek, Bulma's adventures on Namek... Fillers with no actual immportance and stupid stories. LOL
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

My least favorite filler would probably have to be the DB filler between the RRA arc and the 22nd Budokai. I dunno, it was just all so uninteresting. It's the only part of the anime I've skipped halfway through.
