Well, Vegeta told that Gohan had slacked off and so he and Goku are stronger than Gohan now, which would imply that if Gohan was at least as strong as he was against Cell, Vegeta wouldn't be so confident.

Goku and Vegeta advanced a lot during those 7 years, Goku even surpassed Gohan's rage-boosted SS2 and I believe Vegeta wasn't too far behind that, too.

He was confident enough in taking Gohan on, even before he realized how much power Gohan had lost. That doesn't prove he was already ahead of Gohan, but it at least means they're on the same tier.

Pretty positive he is. Goku's SSJ2 form was even with Vegeta's, which Vegeta mentioned he's much stronger than Gohan.

Gohan still has more potential than him power-wise but he isn't as strong as him at the beginning of Boo arc.

He said their powers were above Gohan's now, but there's no telling what would happen if he went into a frenzy. So I think he surpassed regular old SSjin 2 Gohan by a large margin but still is below Enraged SSjin 2 Gohan.

Though if Teen Gohan > Chibi Gohan, then his enraged power is most likely greater too, so he could be above Enraged SSjin 2 Chibi Gohan but below a theoretical Enraged SSjin 2 Teen Gohan.

Vegeta was stronger than Gohan after the 7 years. Gohan struggled to beat Daborah and for a fact Vegeta could kill Daborah.
