Dragon Ball Z TV Specials Extended Theme

Post by DragonBoxZTheMovies » Tue Aug 23, 2011 2:05 am

Y'know this:

Well here's the full version:

To be honest I quite like this tune but I thought it didn't go well with the 'Cha-La! Head Cha-La!' animation. Does anyone have any idea where the full version came from? I'm pretty sure there was an English 'History of Trunks' soundtrack but it feels like it would be impossible to find now. I know the full version is pretty terrible but it feels so nostalgic to me, what with the music and Dale Kelly and Linda Young's Freeza, etc.

I'm hesitant to admit this but...I kinda like it in a junk food sort of way. I'm saying that with little to no nostalgia for the History of Trunks intro theme too.

Can't really help you with your question though, sorry.

This would be my best guess. I remember back in the really early days of the Z Store website wanting to order this because I thought it was somehow a more "official" release of what later became Faulconer's Trunks CD. Glad I didn't waste the money on that. About a year later, I discovered Faulconer's website and found the actual CDs I wanted to desperately.

Haha, I remember listening to that instrumental opening on my cousin's Bardock and Trunks VHS tapes, just before I got into the Japanese version. When no one else was around, I'd play the tape over and over. It's actually a really catchy dance beat.

I absolutely hate the lyrical version, though. "Representing the DragonBall!"
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

I love this vocal version and have never heard it before. Its just so funny to listen to.

"Representing the Dragon Ball"

This is the first time I ever actually heard the History of Trunks opening song because I always watched the Japanese version.

I remember how I enjoyed this theme years ago. I also did extended mix without the vocals some time on this message board.
It's from one of the three discs released for this movies. If I remember right, there are three versions of this song.

Yeah, this is on the Trunks soundtrack, which I seldom see online any more.

I'm probably just mad, but does anyone else hear the f-word?

I tried to rip/piece together the instrumental version of that extended version of that opening. I don't have the DVD, so i recorded the audio from a couple of youtube video's. The only vocal part i couldn't edit out was that guy saying in a deep voice, "Dragonball Zeeeeee..." xD

It's far from perfect, but it's the best I could do.

I primarily rip and upload unreleased Faulconer Productions music, as well as some other American dub music.
