I don't like how some panels seems like remakes of the original manga. I clearly remember that scene of Chilled remembering Bardock's back, if I am not wrong that is from Vegeta when Goku landed in Namek and he thinks he became a Super Saiyan? Als that panel of Bardock walking towards Chilled also gives me a deja vú.

What do you know, Bardock managed to take some battle damage... I guess we know why she retconned the damage before Vegeta was blown up. It would be hard for him to take even more damage without becoming nekkid.

Having seen those last few photos, I have to say, I'm lukewarm about Ooishi's art as a whole, but she draws a great Freeza.

So Bardock is the one who started the whole Super Saiyan legend, very interesting. I assume he stayed in the past?

Scans anyone?

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I thought the LSSJ was supposed to be a blood-thirsty fighter. Here, Bardock seems pretty tame.

Ginyu was the one who said that about them, and what does he know about Super Saiyans... Bardock pretty much acts like Goku did on Namek, so I say it works just fine.

Also, it would seem fairly likely that history would be altered over the course of a thousand years...

Didn't Vegeta also confirm that though? I recall him telling Jeice that very same thing, and that because of the similarities he held with the LSSJ's supposed nature he was the likeliest candidate to become a SSJ.

Again, 1,000 years can do a lot to a story that's passed through word-of-mouth.

Yeah, during the 1 000 years, LSSJ ended up being huge gold gorilla.

Is it just me, or does the damage Chilled does to Bardock post-transformation mirror the damage that Dodoria did to him?

Its not exact, but very close. As I said earlier in the topic, it seems Ooishi retconned the damage Dodoria would have done to him so that he could receive damage from Chilled and not end up naked.
