So right now I'm watching the episode Vegeta kills #19.. The music in the episode is both Kikuchi & Yamamoto. Mostly Yamamoto though. Damn I wish his music was in the newer ones.

No, it seems like for some odd reason episodes 53-63 have Yamamoto's music still, so I've come to the conclusion that Nicktoons hasn't recieved the tapes of the pure Kikuchi version of those episodes yet, and won't likely until Toonzai airs them.Jackal puFF wrote:So right now I'm watching the episode Vegeta kills #19.. Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
That could be why 4kids is not airing any more new episodes of Kai. After the current reruns through Goku and Freeza's fight, Toonzai airings start over at episode 1. The music issue is probably why. This means no new episodes of Kai on Toonzai until the tracks are replaced with Kikuchi.DB_Fan1991 wrote:No, it seems like for some odd reason episodes 53-63 have Yamamoto's music still.

The way FUNi talked about it when hinting at what would be done about the music before Part 5 came out, this was a pretty big theory as to what was going to be done.Jackal puFF wrote:So right now I'm watching the episode Vegeta kills #19.. So are the Freeza saga reruns using The Kai or original JP DBZ score? This is so confusing.

They're using DBZ's score from what I watched yesterday.mystic trunks wrote:So are the Freeza saga reruns using The Kai or original JP DBZ score? This is so confusing.

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
Anyone else notice that, when Krillin and Gohan are trying to fight Frieza's final form, the song is just instrumental? Either Funimation ripped it straight from the 4-kids version, or it didn't have to do with 4-kids.
Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
Pardon? I don't think 4kids ever had anything to do with Dragon Ball.MetroidJunkie wrote:Anyone else notice that, when Krillin and Gohan are trying to fight Freeza's final form, the song is just instrumental? Well, the second fight not having lyrics started in 4-kids first.CaBrPi wrote:Pardon? So what is Funimation doing, taking the new Kai music out and replacing it with the old DBZ tracks?

This isn't just a FUNimation thing -- it's a worldwide thing, initiated by Toei, themselvesVice wrote:So what is Funimation doing, taking the new Kai music out and replacing it with the old DBZ tracks?

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
So I finally updated the Nicktoons Edits Guide! This time with four episode! Usually this would be the start of a wave up updates to come. But this time, I don't know if that's gonna happen. Life is gonna change a bit for me and I won't have as much free time as I did before. I'll keep updating with episodes but, it probably won't be at the speed it was before.

I read those, and I'm surprised on how few edits there were until Cell met Piccolo and they skyrocketed.

Saw that today while watching reruns of early Android Saga episodes.DB_Fan1991 wrote:According to a promo during movie 10 last night there will be a new episode of Kai on October 10th following a marathon.
I'm wondering if they'll show more episodes soon after the marathon (like maybe later that week or the week after)?
