'Season One' (Episodes #1-26) Box Set Coming!

I'm looking forward to purchasing this. I'm still going to keep Parts 1 and 2 with the Yamamoto score (I never got Parts 3 and 4) because I felt that the Saiyan arc with the Yamamoto score really felt grand to me. The Dragon Soul Orchestra is one of my favorite scores composed by Yamamoto. By the time the Freeza arc started, Yamamoto's score started to become tiring to me. Oh well.

I'm glad this has Kikuchi's music, now it gives me a reason not to buy it.

The tipping point for me now is the insert songs. I really couldn't care less about the differences in the regular BGM, but I don't want to watch Kai without Over the Star, Chilling Elegy, Saiyan Blood, and so forth. Do we already have any idea about those...?

All Nicktoons/Toonzai arings with the Kikuchi BGM have kept all songs except for Saiyan Blood because Yamamoto wrote that one.

Well scratch that, then, because Saiyan Blood is my favorite. At the very least, even if I pick up the future Seasons, I'll know which of my existent releases to keep.

I'm kinda curious about the amount of people who are keeping their Yamamoto sets since they're going to be rare in the future. I mean I'm going to keep them however get this set for consistency's sake.

Yeah, the only one I bought was Part 5 for the Kikuchi score. I'll probably pick this up when Amazon puts the price at around $25, which will probably be around December/January.

What episode does the anime switch over to Kikuichi on the DVD release? I just want to know how many of these need to come out before we have a full, consistent Kikuichi score on the DVDs.

Y'know, I'm glad I didn't buy more than just the first 13 episode set for Kai. I would really hate double dipping on something that's supposed to condense my collection a bit.

Now I can focus on grabbing the new Kai sets, and then maybe select portions of the DBZ Blu-rays if I still give a crap at that point and don't have anything better to do. It'll be nice to have a condensed Dragonball Z experience (that maybe I can tack the new Blu-rays onto the end of for a Boo arc) and still get a bit of nostalgia from the DBZ music.

I wonder if they'll be using the different voice actors doing the openings changing every thirteen episodes like in the original sets or if they'll change that up in some manner.

They'll probably keep the openings the same. My bets are on these just being repackagings of Parts 1-2 with the Kikuchi score. Similar to say, the One Piece Collections, or The Yu Yu Hakusho Season sets.

I'm wondering if I should buy these or not. I Would really enjoy a consistent release for once, but I love Yamamoto's score. I guess it can't be helped considering I'm going to have to get Kai with Kikuchi's music anyway. Might as well double-dip in this case.
