So Apparently the Local Video Store I Go To

...Is Selling Big Green Dub DVDs...and I live in Michigan. Now my friend BOUGHT a copy and I'm not sure if the footage with Dragon Box or the Season Sets yet. Hell, it might be recorded from TV. But I will provide images of the DVD Cover, DVD Menus and all that jazz. I just find it interesting a video store that barely has Dragon Ball DVDs would suddenly carry bootleg DVDs of the Big Green Dub...it is extremely odd...anyways stay tuned for the images and stuffs.

Half of the people on here are older than me, therefore wiser, I wouldn't try to fool them. I don't know how to prove to you that these are real, and ofcourse there's always going to be doubts, just like the Boys and Girls Club Dub. I do not treat anyone like idiots on here, so don't try to treat me like one. I don't even have the tools to put a fake DVD cover together. You simply don't believe that these are real.

I'm not going to start an argument here. I'll contact the store manager to confirm that the purchase I made and the release itself is real.

Who is trolling who? You're acting as if a bootleg anime DVD is something worth "faking".

Have you ever actually seen bootleg items? They tend to be even more sloppy than this. I should know, since I've obtained pirate Famicom games in the past many a time, and I've seen pirated DBZ Famicom and Megadrive games.
At least this DVD packaging has coverart that actually resembles the product. Anything that looks "shady" can easily be chalked up to the bootleg nature of the product.

Big Green Dub + Double Feature video doesn't sounds like something that'd be difficult to produce pirate copies of, either. It's not like he claims to have found Dragon Ball AF or the Filipino English dub or something.

Using things like 'Mondo Cool!' on a box and referring to it as 'Big Green' dub points to the fact that these were definitely made by a fan, and a reasonably well informed one at that.

I went to a comic book store and saw two bootleg sets of Spider-Man The Animated Series with a horribly printed cover, and the episodes themselves say "Fox Kids" on them. So it's possible.

It makes no sense to slap Big Green dub audio onto season set video (oops, double feature) and then sell it on DVD - it would be much easier and more profitable to just make straight-up copies of the season sets and sell those. Also, the only people who would even know what "Big Green dub" means would be informed enough to recognize such a lazy bootleg (hopefully the bootleggers would know that much). Also, if the bootleggers were targeting more dedicated fans who are interested in said dub, wouldn't they put more effort into playing up the novelty and humor factor of the thing?

I hate to resort to ancient internet speak, but pics of it (for sale in the store) or it didn't happen.

See, the thing is, I took a look at those dub videos, and was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. However, just a couple of minutes ago, I came across the "GT intro" video, and was finally able to disceren without any doubt that you made the whole thing up for your own amusement, scream "FAKE!", if you will.

Aside from the fact that the "9 year old" who sang it is blatantly a teenager trying to sound like a kid, the "Dragon Ball GT" logo and the lyrics are from Funi's Green Brick sets. The first of which came out in December 2008. According to you, it (and everything else they dubbed) was done in 2007 or earlier. You can't bullshit your way out of that. In the thread you um'd and ah'd and said "Oh, that's strange, I'll talk to blah-di-blah...", but the jig was up. You made those by yourself, probably a couple of hours before you uploaded them, and no amount of "You can choose not to believe me, but I swear..." can change the fact that you dun goofed.

So, really, why the heck shouldn't we believe that you're making shit up for some lolz yet again? Further, why should anyone believe anything you showcase ever again?

I'm not annoyed that you made them, because they're mildly amusing even after the illusion is destroyed. But the fact that you keep on perpetuating this crap, trying desperately to convince people that what you've made is real for some cheap giggles, that bugs me.
