That really does look good... surprising, considering it's an illegal release. Most Chinese knock-off stuff has little to no effort put into the production of the product.

Agreed. It looks interesting. Granted, there are parts of it where the art is slacking, and it seems like more or less a copy of the anime, right down to manga-fying the animation stills ala the animation comics, but it still seems like something I'd read.

That's nosense, like all the DB series, GT had different animation teams, bad and good.
And here is scans of the first volume (no comments xD):

No, good sir, I don't think you know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about how slow the fights looked, and weak the characters looked because of the bad animation choices.

WTF is that background behind Goku when he catches the rockets???!
Yeah, that's the Doujinshi I meant, but I noticed this for the first time, that in this panel, he's in some village :D

Wow, there is way more inconsistencies like Red Shenron being the classic green one.....
Looks like that art is cut and paste.....
It's a scanlation or Chinese dojinshi?

the part of Goku with the rockets it's a copy of the scene when Goku arrives to Namek, also, it appears shenron, not red shenron, there is a lot of copied scenes.

I think it's possible to create GT adaptation manga ourselves. As the anime based on manga is drawn almost exactly panel to cel and then animated, by reverse drawing from the anime into panels won't be a problem, with excluding some ''filler'' things.
That Chinese release is really big and it's half of the series. The classic manga in case of Dragon Ball series is first 70 episodes in 6 tankobons.
If I'll have time, I'll do it if I will have someone to discuss the things with and adapting the anime into chapters.
Do a screenshots from the series, add them to panels and then redraw :))

You re right, do you know about the project i have with other guys? (If you don't look at my signature xD) We redraw exactly as are original images, making it on HQ. We use a programm called "Paint Tool Sai" it's easy to use, anyone can do a GT manga using that system.

Yeah, I heard about it. Pretty nice work! I'm a profi user of Adobe Creative Suite, because my job is design, typography and graphics. I studied an phototypographics school where I built my hate for the Macs :D
So if you can tell me, is it easier to use? That software you are using?
Because work in Illustator is swift a lot itself (the most btiching comes when you are doing the curving on the edges, if you don't have a tablet), so I wonder if there is really anything faster and simpler.
But probably not that professional.

PS: About illustrator, I see how is the Budokai Tenkaichi art that much popular between the kids on PC's

For me, Sai it's way easier and it has better results. If you want help add me to msn, on my profile^^. Also, I have tablet, but for linearts I preffer no use it because with the curves on sai it looks much better.

Fox666 wrote:GT serie is for the original manga like dropping a pile of toxic waste in a lake of clean water.

You can't filter toxic waste, you must throw it completely away. The same way, you can't make GT acceptable.

Anyway, is GT necessary? It doesn't really add anything to the story. It has villains and arcs that doesn't change affect the subsequent storyline. Besides there isn't any new character added to the cast, while the original manga added Piccolo, Goku had children, etc.
That's not a very accurate analogy..................... but I will agree that GT does not live up to it's predecessors. And if you are thinking of Piccolo as a new character to Z, then I only think it's fair to add Pan, Bulla and grown up Goten as new characters to the cast of GT.

That would be so amazing, but you'd also need to correct some retarded things like Cell and Freeza getting frozen by an ice machine, that random bodyguard matching Goku, Rilldo being apparently stronger than Majin Buu. Maybe even take out entire sections of the Black Star Dragon Ball saga, since it was filled with sillyness that didn't make sense with DBZ, and fix the Shadow Dragon Saga, make the dragons less humorous, the final saga in Dragon Ball should be serious.

We get it. You don't like GT because the shonen power creep makes past villains less and less threatening.

Although I agree that the final arc should be completely serious, because as we all know Dragon Ball is serious business.

Nope, I will leave it as it is. Only cut out some things to fasten the pace and leave some in. I won't bother with much editing, nly alter some dialogues maybe, like Rildo not being strong like Buu, but like Cell and Goku IS actually powered down. When Rildo casts the metal sphere on Goku, when he turns SSJ2, I will edit him to be that way until the end of the fight.

That would be so cool, and plus if you edit down Redgic like Kaboom did, if Cell and Frieza are weaker than Goku's first form, so should some random alien bodyguard, even though I agree with the people who say Goku's base form is no where near Cell. But you probably have pretty fair judgement of what was consistent since your willing to do this so this is just my ideas.

Truly it's making past villains look weak that made GT horrible. Not the story, characterizations, redundancy, reliance on Goku, mundanes...
