No they have not, but I am aware within the past few years they have multiple closing. The one on Gratiot (20 minutes where I live from) is still alive and kicking.

There are still Hollywood Video locations in the Midwest. They're not all shut down. They're certainly doing better than Blockbuster out there.

Honestly, why shouldn't these bootlegs be real? People make bootlegs of everything . Heck, when I was in South America (Ecuador), I found DBZ bootlegs with the Spanish Latino dub slapped over season sets, Dragonbox rips, and also FUNi singles. I've found bootlegs where they slapped all of DBGT on a single layer DVD...

In USA I found bootlegs of DBGT where they just digitalized VHS fansubs...

I know it's fake since he never showed us what the disc looked like. Also, in that receipt, it never says who the cashier was. Usually when I go to stores like Game Stop or Play N' Trade, it usually has the cashiers name. Maybe since I haven't been to a video store in so long they might not do that but I think every store does that.

There should still be a few HollyWood Video stores still alive. It's probably like Borders, how they closed down the majority of the chain but there are a few still alive.

To be honest, from my point of view you've just been acting hostile, pre-deeming and very little open to what's around you. It's kinda stupid to judge someone based from other experiences, something I've done, for example with kei17, but he sent me not only what he owed me, but the double, plus two other bonus dvds, in addition to upload a ton of things to my FTP.

I'm actually being hostile because I hate liars which is pretty much what SRB2Unleashed has done two times already. I've had some bad experiences with liars on forums and saw people believe them and I just don't want this guy getting away with a fake story and people will believe him and he'll think he's the coolest troll ever, when he' just acting really stupid.

It never occured to me to take a picture of the DVD disc, but remember how I said I'll contact the store manager? I got a call today not from him, but the store clerk who made the DVDs without permission. We'll AIM sometime this week, when I'm not busy. With school starting up and all. In the meantime, I'll try to go over Mark's to take pics of the disc.

However the fact you guys think a 14 year old boy has the capabilities of creating a fake DVD cover is amuses me. The fact that I posted the reciept and you guys still doubt me just shows that no matter what you guys won't believe me, but oh well. I will still have that AIM chat with the clerk.

What was the point of lying. Sure, I'll forgive you but why did you have to lie? Did you think it'd make you look better? Lying to us about that dub made you look worse. That's what lying does to anyone who lies. Makes them look really bad.

It's not impossible for your story to be true in theory, but the little details don't add up. You say you got this amazing DVD and show us pathetically easy to make covers, but neglect to show a DVD or receipt. Then you go into full motion BS and say you got it from a Hollywood video. A big chain like that (yes I know they're a dying breed but its a corperate run chain) will NOT carry bootleg movies like that, and if we are to believe that cover any idiot could call easy bootleg on that.

You'd have made a more believable story if you claimed to have gotten it from some independant game or movie store.

He also claims it's movie 1 when the receipt says it's movie 3. EDIT: Nevermind I was reading someone elses edit of the receipt so they could prove a point.

Like I said, the concept of this story isn't completely implausable but the details add up to a hoax. I am only looking at this case, I am a consumate lurker and miss a lot of threads so I don't know (nor care) what else SRB2Unleashed has done. I just know when a story does not add up BS is involved. Also, anytime I can make my own doctored photos for fun I have fun with it. >.>
