I sick of hearing M1307 in Kai. That piece is so overused.

Hironobu Kageyama's game openings. They start sounding extremely samey after awhile.

I was watching the Freeza saga dubbed and there's one piece of music that's played a ton. It's this really simplistic alternating "DUN...DUN...DUN..DUN...DUN...DUN...DUN...DUN" that's (probably) part of a bigger song. I tried looking for it but came up with nothing. It's not a bad track but it seems to play a lot and it's lodged into my brain from watching three episodes.

Assuming you are referring to the original's soundtrack, I'm guessing this is the piece:

Ah, I was actually talking about the dub score. My description isn't very helpful in actually finding the song anyway.

I popped in my single again and found what I was talking about, it turns out I kinda misremembered it and there's two DUNDUNs to a DUN.If anyone knows what this track is called I'd love to listen to it clean.

Akumaito Beam: I believe you're talking about "Cell And Piccolo Face Off", from The Best of DBZ, vol. 2. Hope that helps.

Anyway, back on the subject of Japanese BGM, it's not so much that I get sick of the music itself (even though I do sometimes during marathon runs), but there are quite a few pieces that are just so amazing, I wish they'd saved them for the real moments, rather than going out of their way to play them at least once per episode during the Freeza saga. Just a few off the top of my head:

Garlic Jr. Transforms (Movie 1)
Garlic Jr. Summons Up The Dead Zone (Movie 1) - Goku's Super Saiyan transformation scene is fantastic with it, but the fact that this piece had already been whored out like none other in previous episodes really downplays its impact, especially if you're watching the series on marathon.
Piccolo Battles Sansho (Movie 1)
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

I think I know which one you're talking about. It was used a lot in the dub until around the time of the 'Cell Games'. I'm not sure of the name, but is it at 3:22?:

If so, then yeah, I get really sick of it as well.

@ Akumaito Beam

I think the track you're talking about is this one - http://www.4shared.com/audio/G8S5qqO7/_ ... eme__.html I had to rip it, because this basic version was never released. The version with this chorus/flute-like sound was released as "Cell and Piccolo Face Off".

*edit* DOH... didn't see the comment above me. *_* I had a derp moment.

I primarily rip and upload unreleased Faulconer Productions music, as well as some other American dub music.

I'll take the rap for that one being overused. Its an ollldy and there's were a lot of suspense scenes where two people are facing off in DBZ and that track always seemed to work =\
There's alternate versions of it too, just to spice it up without having to write a new track.

Cell & Piccolo Face off (the one pointed out originally)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey4JnpNN1dM

And there's a version with the Androids' theme over it. You can find it at 16:50 on the long $*(% Android Compendium track on the A18CD. I dunno if that was ever released as a separate track or not.

Wow you guys certainly answered the call! Thanks for finding that track everyone, I appreciate it. I can finally get that song out of my head.

That piece certainly has more variations than I expected. I feel kinda awkward that this song is taking up so much of the thread thus far because I really hold no extreme ill will towards it or anything.

This is why I don't watch the dub as much now:

That one song from the beginning of Movie 7 when Android 14 and 15 first appear in the city. it was played incessantly throughout the Cell Games and almost ALWAYS at the wrong time.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I'm sick of just about every (Japanese) piece in Z. I've heard each of them at least 100 times. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate them for their nostalgic qualities, it just means that I really wish there was more variety. At least one separate score per saga is what they should have done, with the exception of maybe character themes.
