My own Fan Cut of Dragon Ball Z
Hey guys, I've been working on my own faster-paced version of the Dragon Ball Z TV Series and have gotten good feed-back on the first episode from my dbz friends in the area. I wanted to come to you guys and get your opinions on it to.
My general plan is to make a faster paced version of Dragon Ball Z, similar to Kai, but I won't necessarily stick to the Manga panel-by-panel. It might be similar in many ways, but some filler could be left in if I feel it better fleshes out a scene, or canon might be cut out if I feel it is unneeded or messes with the pacing of the episode/show.
As for episode lengths, I'm looking at keeping them in the ballpark of an hour each. However, they could really fall anywhere between 50 minutes and 70 minutes depending on where I think would be a good place to end the episode. Essentially, I don't want to ever have to cut something I want to keep, or keep something in simply to get to a certain minute mark for an episode, such as Kai was forced into at times in order to finish episodes at certain points.
Unfortunately, in order for me to use Dragon Box footage, I had to create my own Sub-titles. They are word-for-word what Funimation has on their Dragon Boxes, problem is it takes forever to make subtitles. So it might take a few weeks to finish each episode.
Anyways, I'm putting episode 1 up somewhere else right now, so PM me if you want to get a link to the 1st episode. I'm completely open to any of your ideas to make this as good as possible, and will go back to edit them if a sort of general idea has been repeated. Thanks guys, hope you enjoy it.

Sounds pretty neat. I look forward to seeing it.
This will never not be my sig:

I can't believe this is on-topic.

I am very curious about this. I hope it's available for downlaod if it's good. Honestly though, I like Kai because I'm a fan of the English dub and the new Kai dub is really good, along with the score. In the (far) future I might try to do something like what you are doing, but with a new score. I don't even know if it's possible, but maybe I'll take a few college classes and learn how to do it if it is. PM sent.

I watched the first part, and it seems pretty par for the course. My only complaint is that the subtitles have no outline or drop-shadow or anything to separate them from the background.

Sorry, I haven't watched it, mainly due to my hate of MegaVideo/MegaUpload and the popups it gives. I assume it was great, though.

I didn't watch this in detail, but what are differences between this and DBZ Kai?
