Goku vs. Uub- Underrated Fight

Post by DragonBoxZTheMovies » Thu Sep 08, 2011 4:41 am

I just finished up watching episode 291, and I must say that I really enjoyed it, despite the poor ending. It was entirely hand-to-hand combat and it felt very reminiscent of the early 'Tenkaichi Budokai' fights.

It was good in the anime, but the manga fight was only a couple pages long, and ended up being underwhelming.

Watching him in the anime, you really think "this kid could go on to give Goku the fight of his life some day."

How come the audience can see this fight but they couldn't see Roshi vs baby Goku?

For the same reason there are no longer any animal-people. Oh man, that poor Red Ribbon hippo. He was so awesome.

Draws comics that may or may not have been blatantly inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga.

Maybe because Uub wasn't that fast and Goku was keeping at his level? I mean, they got it right with Cell vs Goku, the entire fight was completely invisible.

Probably because it was paced slower (In respect to real time action sequences). I'm sure there were bursts the audience couldn't keep up with, but for the most part Goku wasn't really trying.

Yeah, Uub was just learning how to fight, and his strength was probably already there so that was increasing much faster than his reflexes, speed, and fighting skill were. So Goku was fighting at his low pace but was still feeling his strength, Goku could probably avoid all Uubs attacks by vanishing.

I always enjoyed it in the anime. Very entertaining hand to hand.

In my opinion, Goku vs. Oob wasn't that much of a spectacular fight. It was clear that Goku was playing with Oob, letting him getting some hits and taunting him. It was funny to see Goku being rude though, saying bad things. He used to taunt his enemies before, sure (vs. Piccolo Jr. as an example), but he never insulted their mothers before.

Shows how desperate he is for a good challenge those days.

Did any of Goku's opponents before even have a mom?

The Goku fight with Ubuu didn't have anything too amazing.
