Wow, what? I was thinking about eventually picking them up, but now it turns out they were a limited release?

*looks at Amazon*

Z Vizbig 5: 1 new from $6,282.34 6 used from $899.99 ...

What. The. Fuck?
Of course they aren't a limited release. Viz just hasn't released a new printing of those volumes yet and most places are running out of copies.

I there a chance that Viz will print more copies anytime soon? If I started to collect them and then couldn't finish my collection, I would be pretty upset. I might just go with those box sets.

I really hope they do, because I'm just now coming around to the Vizbigs... =\

DanielGClapp wrote:Ok I'm sort of new when it comes to the manga, but I would like to know if all of those Visbigs are still available. If so, then where can I find them? Are these the best release of the manga? I don't necessarily mean the most rare or whatever I just want to know if they are uncut and unedited. If these are no longer available, what would be my best bet? I want to own the manga uncut and unedited (and in English). If someone could please enlighten me I would be very grateful, thanks!
Well at one point, vol.4 of DBZ VIZBIG was hard to find but they eventually made more prints for them. So I have my fingers crossed that VIZ will make more prints of volumes 5-6 of DBZ and vol.5 of Dragon Ball. It would be nice for people who don't have those copies to get them so they can finish their collection. But anyway, As far as I know, the VIZBIGs are pretty much uncut and unedited. Most of the original color pages in tact which is a big plus. Would've been nice if they could add all the color pages but for the price, these volumes are worth it. If you have any anime or comic stores that sells older manga releases then I would recommend visiting those stores to find the out of print volumes. Good luck!
- Been a Dragon Ball fan ever since 1995 (at the time, I was 7 years old).
- I prefer Saffron Henderson's Kid Gohan and Kid Goku over Stephanie Nadolny's.
- I still hope for a redub of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z with FUNimation's current cast.
- I prefer to watch Dragon Ball Z with the Faulconer Score, however I do not mind the original Japanese score.

That's not true. But the regular edition is also edited, so...

That's why I said pretty much. Pretty much doesn't mean fully uncut. I know we've never gotten a fully uncut release but this is as close as we're probably gonna get.

DragonBall Z (the first one) arcade PCB. Had it for a few months now, actually. Some irritating static noise interference that is noticeable during silence, hoping and thinking it will be an easy fix (might be related to a resistor that has a broken leg- easy enough to replace). If not I guess I will have to resort to paying somebody to fix it.

Also finally ordered the fourth DragonBox Z a few days ago. Should be here soon.

Sweet. Grrr my copy of Dragon Box Six still hasn't arrived yet and is way overdue. I'm getting the feeling it was pinched since the rest didn't take this long. I'll request a replacement from RightStuf if it doesn't come by the end of next week.

I just bought the remaining Dragon Ball Z VIZBIG volumes I needed in my collection. Got vol.7 in stores and 8-9 are currently on order. Apparently, vols.8-9 could likely be going out of print soon since the comic store I went said that they could only re-order volumes 1-4, and 7. :/

I got the Trunks and Bardock Blu-Ray from Krycek7o2. It came with a special bonus DVD. I won't say what it is, but I will say that I was extremely satisfied. Thank you Krycek7o2! :)

Collecting arcade PCBs is kind of a side hobby of mine (too expensive to be my ACTUAL hobby) & this was on my radar for a long time. I hadn't actually played it though, I just wanted it because it was Dragonball. After playing it on a friend's MAME cabinet though I decided that maybe it wasn't worth the money that was being asked for it at the time (there was one on Ebay for a few hundred $$) & that for the same price I could by Snow Bros, Macross & Tumble Pop PCBs, so I did that instead. My girlfriend was happier with that decision seeing that she loves Bubble Bobble clones :)

I wouldn't mind checking out the other 2 DB games though, specifically the "VR VS" game. I'd like the PCB of that one. It looks interesting rather than being an ordinary Street Fighter clone.
