Eh, no use complaining. Besides, that drawing is old as shit. It goes as far back as the old pioneer discs and probably even further than that. It was also used for one of the U.S. Dragon Box discs.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Wow, that image does not work well with that background. Anyone else notice the "Prince of Saiyans" phrase in the background?

So are these officially what the covers are going to look like? God they suck. I think I'm just going to purchase the first Blu-ray then wait for the inevitable bundles that come out after. Hopefully they'll have a completely different cover. I can wait till then. It's not like I don't have 5 other formats of the show to watch it in .

The fuck? Who thought it was a good idea to have the orange on the side? It would be a lot nicer (and cleaner) without that crap.

I was just too lazy to change that.

Still, what is the joke? If you are trying to say another re-release with FUNi milking the series so much you should have made it a 3D Blu Ray or something. :P

I was making fun of the random katakana on all the covers, in addition to dub dialog. Stupid joke, now that I think about it.

Where did you find this information?
And is it region A only or is it A and B?

I look at this and I just see a Vegeta render from FUNimation's image database. It just seems flat and unappealing to me. I'm looking foward to these Blu-rays so... I'll just have to deal with this cover art. :?

That Blu-ray art is just completely ugly; who the hell is designing for FUNimation these days? Between this and the movies bundle art, I could nearly vomit.

It seems all you need to make these covers are MS Paint and some DBZ renders...

Image

OK, I know it takes more than that. I can't blame them though. I guess they know this will sell even if the cover art looks cheap. They really don't need to go all out for the cover art. I mean, it would be nice but, they know they don't have to. Still, looking forward to these.

That would probably make a good one for Volume 3/4

Lol. I think I may like this one better than the Vegeta art, at least. :D

Terrible, terrible cover art. It just looks like FUNimation doesn't care. :|

And with the way Vegeta looks on the cover, it's almost like he's saying: "Buy this Blu-Ray or I will smash your face in!" :(

That image of Vegeta is on one of the Dragon Box discs; Box 1 I believe.

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

It's also in the Dragon Ball Z Kai Part 1 set I believe. I have the blu-ray, so I think it's in the inside cover.

All of funimations covers are either lazy or ugly. Which one would you rather?

I hate they use this, I hate this fuc**** horrible image. I just don't understand. Why they DON'T put images of the same style? I want to say, the first cover it's a Goku of new generation illustrations with highlights and 2 shadows. This Vegeta hasn't highlights and the shadows are a little bit poor. There's thousands of Vegeta saiyan arc new illustrations...
