Future Gohan Re-Drawn

This is a fan art piece of Future Gohan in my own style. There are a lot of noticeable changes to his original design from "The History of Trunks."

For starters his eye. I figured with a scar that big across the face that there would have been a lot of damage to his eyes. Making him blind as well as missing an arm just made him feel more bad ass to me.

Next his uniform; and this is something I wish animators had put more thought into. I made his under shirt purple and his belt light blue as an allusion to Piccolo. Piccolo was Gohan's biggest mentor(hell he was arguably closer to Gohan than Goku was) and I felt Gohan would wear something to honor him.

Second thing I changed was Gohan's gi. The symbol is actually Goku's. I felt that if Gohan was going to dress like his father he'd wear his fathers outfit instead of making his own. That is also why it's ripped up(it's old and worn out).

I hope you guys enjoy, let me know your thoughts.

Also, if you want to check out more of my work(lot of DBZ stuff)

Yeah, I like your version of Future Gohan. I agree with you in that making him blind in one eye as well as missing an arm makes me him feel more badass. It worked for Sagat. :) Also like Sagat, it's also kind of a testament to his worth as a martial artist: still being able to put up a fight against the Androids with one eye.

I also like your alteration to his gi. It's more original than the old one, worn-out and ripped as a reflection of his life fighting the Androids on a destroyed planet, and it does make sense that Gohan would wear something that both honours his father and his biggest mentor (and practically his best friend). Goku's symbol is a nice touch too, and again, I agree with what you said.

The only problems is that, on Gohan's arm, there's no wristband. And I don't know what it is, but his body and proportions look a bit off. His right foot (the one at the back) looks somewhat...flat.

Oh wow this is quite good!

Hard to really say anything constructive or praise worthy as Daimao's post covered a lot. Suffice to say I liked that your color scheme changed to honor Piccolo who was arguably a greater mentor to Gohan then his father in that timeline. However I also like how he honors Son Goku's memory too with his emblem. The only constructive criticism I could possibly think of is maybe add more detail too Gohan's gi. I understand it is rough around the edges because of being worn out and I like that but continuing the whole "badass but broken hero" look, maybe add some more damage or wear to Gohan's uniform. Not like sewn patches but more fraying around the edges and belt, including some cuts or battle damage.

Awesome work. 8)
