I like Gohan's voice, but Goku ... hmm. I think it'll need to grow on me.
I like the fact it's high pitched and he doesn't sound like Superman.

Yeah, I don't really like Goku dubbed with too deep a voice, personally. (Like in the Big Green dub ...)
I think once I hear this dubbed Goku more I'll get used to it and like it, in the same way I grew to love Nozawa's Goku.

Thank you for posting more clips.

Yes, I can say Goku's voice is certainly growing on me.

I apologize waaaaay in advance if I'm displaying cultural ignorance, but is it this dub? I know it says the Serbian dub, but I was under the impression that both Serbia and Russia spoke Russian. Mind you, I'm not prepared to defend that at all and admit ignorance in the matter.
Well, as english speaker, I understand that you won't see that much difference as these are both Slavic languages and actually are simmilar a lot. You will always recognize Russian by the heavy accent and using G instead of H, to say it in easy way :))) We always make a fun from Russian accent here :D

(Typical is: ''You still weren't been in Paris? Vy jste ještě nebyl v Paříži?'' as Russian version ''By ještě neblyly v Pariže? You puke not in Parisia?''..... Well, some domestic joke :D )

Piccolo sounds kind of like the Russian mobsters in GTA IV. Well, he does to me, or it could be due to my playing that game last night. And I apologize for stereotyping, but in that version does anyone call Goku in Russian, "Comrade Goku"?

Since the only Russian dub of anime I've ever seen was Rurou ni Kenshin which abysmally sucks, it's quite surprising that this dub is acceptable.

I actually really like Raditz's voice. It seems intentionally detached and uninterested when dealing with insects on some backwater planet. Goku and Gohan sound pretty fabulous too. I can't speak for the script but I personally think they did a pretty decent job picking out voices. I think they went a little overboard with the grunting like Funi's old dub. While it's usually good form to try and match the animation with your grunts as precisely as possible for some action orientated anime it needs to be dialed down a little. That being said it's only about 4 episodes in so there's still a LOT of time for the actors to grow. I'd kind of like to keep up with this dub but being American I don't think that's very likely.

How is this show being received currently? Did you guys ever air the original Dragon Ball at any point?

Speaking to my friends, they seem to really like it so far. They're very happy with this dub.

I have to agree. They may not be my favorite voices for the characters, but I can imagine them sounding like that without too much adjusting, so they do fit them pretty good.
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.

So... I can make clips from episodes 1-8 -- any particular clips that people here want?

-Vegeta and Nappa's brief conversation before they take off for Earth. I'm really interested to see how Vegeta will sound in particular, considering how important he is to the story.
-Raditz and Goku's "death speeches."
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

Since I'm a bit lazy to browse episodes can you please tell me aproximately where, and in which episode?

I'd be interested in hearing anything with Kuririn in it.

Well, I'm really surprised, as last Russian dub I heard was that man/woman voiceover on Russian version of MGM and now they are emerging with dub of West/Central European caliber.
Cool, and I also like Raditz and Goku's voice....

Both of those events are in episode 5, conveniently enough. Thanks in advance!
