We aren't. Otakus are the most extreme of extreme. I believe the word you're looking for is nerd.

Hey, I didn't meant it on the people here directly :)
I only got this idea from the overall discussion theme and do somebody here know the Otaku King from Japan  ????
Well that is otaku. I can say that I probably didn't met an otaku, and not even of this caliber in this comunity and lot of people here are normal and already have a family.
I can't imagine even myself with kid/s as I'm professional musician, doing graphics and drawing and designing stuff + in my free time I watch movies, anime and my favorite one is Dragon Ball.
I'm a fluffing hell of a cross-breed between otaku, artist and carier-freak in one human body.

Edit: I'm sorry if I offended anyone, take my humblest appologies

We're nerds. Just a lot of us aren't the ultra-nerd stereotype of being elitist about what we like, yet awkward and never kissed a girl. I have nerd tendencies, but I'm not that much of a nerd. (Also I've kissed lots of girls).

On topic, I think I'd introduce my kids when they're about 6-7. With DB's more saucy stuff, it could be like how I saw Roger Rabbit as a kid, but never noticed all the innuendo until years later.

If they are still making video games I'd get them the latest and best one, for whatever future console we have, the video games are what got me into it anyway. If that gets them into it I'll probably get Kai or whatever and watch it with them, then if they still were into it I'd tell them about the comic and stuff.

How can you be elitist about liking Dragon Ball? like, "omg I can't believe you don't know who Cell is were not having sex."?

Same thing?

And even otakus can get girlfriends. Whether it be someone who can tolerate their obsession or another otaku.

I like how it has transformed to the embarrassing argument of giving yourself the label of geek, nerd or otaku haha.

In responce to the topic, I'm not really gonna force it on them. I mean there's cartoons and stuff like the Flintstones that my Ma liked and I liked too, but she didn't have scheduled sessions of Flintstones exposure, just when I was young she'd put it on Cartoon Network or VHS because she enjoyed it too. I'll probably just end up doing something similar to that. Also once they get to reading age, I'll most likely let them read from my library of all the books I've read and collected over the years.
