When did he had Namek body?
I'm pretty sure in RB2 he switched bodies with one of the characters from Namek [randomly from 4 or 5 of them] and you could only use melee attacks....instead of switching with the person he was battling.

In RB1, IIRC, you just turned into Goku.

All those are true, but cutting down the rooster so much and limiting the Character Creator is very dissappointing, it kills part of the exitement... :(
Well, I guess we just have to attribute this to the one-year-only-development thing and live with it. :)

Wait what? In RB2 he also just turned into Goku (He also had his own attacks and his own fighting style, which I think was pretty cool). I have never seen him turn into a Namek.

The Vegeta story mode looks nice! Especially the chasing part. :D

No no, a Namek-arc character. Such as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, etc.

Ooooh, great guys, don't care for the roster, WE HAVE A NEW F*CKING MAP. :x
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

This new screenshot is certainly a fake.

It could very well be true, they never get it right anyway. If they add something they always screw up other.

 It's funny because it's so sad.

41 characters + INFINITE POSSIBILITIES....for the 3 custom slots you're given.
Yeah, they're not that many in comparison.....but we have ONE new map.

This is bullshit, right? "We're giving ALL THIS NEW STUFF!!!...which, by the way, isn't that much....OH! Right! That thing about the original japanese music we've promised?....Nope."

So what, 1 GT map, 2 GT battles? Movie characters taking up space of actual characters from Z?

Screenshot looks faked. Why would a mouse icon be in a print screen?

...that's a great question. Still seems like that's all we have though, is questions.

But actually, you questioning it made my brain click and remember something else that came from an official rep last year (so thank you)

Remember what Dennis Lee said about a feature in Raging Blast 2?
"It's a Dragon Ball animation that was never released. So, uhm, it was created initially and it was based on one of the manga volumes and, uhm, it was started and never actually came out, so they never released it. So, uhm, our development team, uhm, in working with Shueisha and the Dragon Ball licensors, they were able to take that - finish it up, polish it up - and they've included it on the disc as an unlockable. Uhm so, for the first time ever, Dragon Ball fans are gonna be able to see something that's...kinda like a lost grail for Dragon Ball animation."

Here's what i'm gonna try out: Paying attention to scans, screenshots, trailers along with anything else that Japan releases and ignore what the local Namco reps have to say, unless they fully show and explain what the hell they think they're talking about. Because even that can sometimes be misleading...

About the limited Character Creator part, from the first time it was announced I KNEW it was going to be some what limited. This is a common cliché I noticed among video games that when a game includes a character creator and this is the first time the developers have ever made one, it's always going to have something missing or it won't live up to someone's high expectations. Remember, this is the first time a DBZ game has EVER had a character creator and the first time Spike has ever made one (I think), so I knew it wasn't going to be something as complex and detailed as a WWE or (pre-2008) Tony Hawk game.

I'm sure they're probably get it right by the the second or third game. :)

(I know about the whole thing when they said this would probably be Spike's last game, but you never know... maybe the game sells well and Namco Bandai decides to renew they're contract. Or maybe the next developer has experience with CAC and does it better than Spike's attempt in UT.)

With less characters then the game can still be great. Budokai 3 had 40 characters and was still a great game. I think the game can be still great and fun without 100 something characters.

Yes everything can be fun. I think the majority is just frustrated because characters always get ejected me heavily included.

I'm surprise that Coola (Cooler) has not shown up yet? He is the most popular movie character and seem to be appear in nearly Dragon Ball fighting game since Budokai 3. I just hope they don't have him only in his Final Form like in the first Sparking game.
