I'm telling you guys, I can smell lies all over this stupid 41 character thing. It just doesn't make sense Think about it. We have Gotenks but no Goten or Trunks? We have super saiyan 4 Gogeta but no super saiyan 4 Goku or Vegeta? It just doesn't add up.

How can they only add 41 characters..? Not only do they cut characters, they cut IMPORTANT ones like Goten, Kid Trunks...

We have Gotenks but no Goten or Trunks?

What kind of characters can be created in Hero Mode?
You can create any kind of character in this mode but it has to be a male Saiyan because some key point of the specific story from this mode requires it, transformation for example.

I love how he treats the interviewer like a retard.
You can create any kind of character which means sayajins are all the kinds of characters:Nameks,Cyborgs,aliens,etc.

Again Uub and super 17 and BTW almost every DBGT character is out,but,we still have all stars like Kyui on it.So yeah,great option.

I'm not surprised at all, Bandai loves to do this all the time.
I believe Spike is just following orders from the Bandai producers.
All the RBlast games are garbage.It is unbelievable that they call this Ultimate Tenkaichi.


Finally,people keep saying that Spike doesn't have enough time,well,Spike it had enough time to improve every Tenkaichi game,but now, suddenly,Spike doesn't have time anymore.

Just compare this "Create a sayajin Mode" with pro evolution soccer or fight night round 4 CaC mode to see the difference.

If that's not proof enough then I don't know why in the hell he would be doing there damaged up for? Just another reason why i think the List bull. Also wasn't videl confirmed to be in this? now she's just disappeared. Even if this game only has 41 characters, I'm still getting it! But i believe there will be more.

And what have we learned people? That expecting Spike to have a big roster, great story mode, in-depth character creation, and its story mode in 1 year is just asking a lot. People will never learn. It was one thing if this was happening with 2 years of dev time but considering they have even more of a work load with the same amount of time is not surprising. And thus this game I will predict will fail in the sales. Perhaps this games inevitable failure will finially teach Namco to give more time or at the very least Spike will lose their contract since they are not super human dev gods that people seem to want them to be.

In all fairness, it didn't have any kind of Kid Gohan despite covering Cell either. (Yet, ironically, Hyper Dimension will probably still be more fun to play with only 10 characters, than this with over 40)

This list proves the character roster videos we have seen as real, and final. Goku's form selection screen for after you decide to play as him only has 4 slots, Base through SS3.

I feel it should be noted that this is the first time a Spike character list hasn't included transformations as individual "characters". Not counting transformations, the first RB only had around 40 characters.

As I said before...

RB1 had 42 slots, 72 total.
RB2 had 64 slots, 100 total.
UT/UB has 41 slots(+3 avatar slots), and presumably somewhere around 61 minimum (+the 3 avatars and their transformations).

I can understand where you're coming from on that score and why it may have happened like that back then, because in a technical sense he's the "worthwhile" character among them-- Super Saiyan is so commonplace by that point in the series that Gotenks is the only way Goten and Trunks stay competitive enough to really contribute to the story. Given how the games worked back then, I'm willing to say that such a result was fair...

(And... mind you, I realize that you weren't necessarily rendering an opinion on the subject either way. I'm just using it as a springboard with which to tirade. ;p )

But this ain't 1996, and we're not talking about a game with less than 20 characters. Hell, we're talking about a game where we apparently have Kewi. Now granted, I may be more than just a little biased given that the two squirts are favorites of mine, but... well, replace their omission with that of the SSj4 versions of Goku and Vegeta instead. It works the same way. From a logical standpoint, and given the style of the roster, where and how does it make sense to omit established characters like this... and in favor of more minor ones, no less? Coming off from something like Raging Blast 2 (which at least troubled itself to give us all the major characters, even if its roster was no METEOR in terms of content), what we're being rumored to get this time around just seems so... backward and weird, IMO. o_O

I do stress of course that we're talking about things that are still (largely) rumor and speculation. But if it holds true, then I haven't seen a roster this quirky since Final Bout.
