There really isn't a good excuse for the character roster to be any smaller than the original Raging Blast. We are not acting like spoiled children... we are reacting appropriately based on the nature of this game. Spike has been in the Dragon Ball game business since 2005. They should know better by now than to strip the character roster. Christ... it's been six years since their first game and with every new title, they shrink the character count. They're all the same series, let's be honest. They're just using the new title as an excuse to omit features, much like Infinite World.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:....Gosh, you guys are acting like a spoiled child. So what if a few characters are omitted? The majority of main characters from previous game are still in this game. You can't always expect this game to be exactly like Meteor in HD where the roster are packed with too much characters. If you want to play Goten, Trunks, Gohan, SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta, they have them in Meteor. Even all Budokai series never had this much roster as the Sparking! series, which is a good thing since the majority of Meteor roster are very flat.
To reiterate what others have said... who says you have to sacrifice to gain? Are you sure you don't work for Spike's public relations team?DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:This new game offers something new which we never have had before. You'd have to sacrifice something to gain something, so they did in order to create Hero mode, which looks cool, in my opinion.
I would be more accepting of the characters being taken out if the Hero mode actually was worth a damn. A limit of three male Saiyans with preset outfits... no thank you. Spike knows damn well they could create a kick ass Character Creator, but once again, they're starting over again (kind of unjustifiable on the same console) and taking advantage of people by purposefully keeping out so many features and leaving us with a bare-bones game.
The most we can hope for is that Spike will stop their greed once realizing that no one blindly shells out $60 for a Dragon Ball game anymore... maybe then they will give us Sparking! 4 or something.

Vomit-inducing camera jumps, identical QTE's and combos for every character in the game, diminutive character count, pointless graphics revision (pseudo manga-style with movie/GT characters...? Mmkay.)... I do believe we've seen enough.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:You should at least take a look at the game yourself and see what you think of it once it comes out in the store. But right now you shouldn't jump to conclusion just because of the few omitted characters.
Amen. Raging Blast was Sparking! 0.5. Raging Blast 2 was Sparking!. Now, Ultimate Blast is basically Raging Blast 0.5. Each new installment that isn't a sequel is a castration of the previous games. WHY? They stand nothing to gain by doing this anymore. At least Dimps made it seem like they were making honest efforts to improve each new installment (excluding Burst Limit), unlike this blatantly leaving shit out crap.Titan wrote:I hope so,Spike and Dimps must go.This franchise needs fresh blood.
DBZ Tenkaichi 3 was the most successful dbz game.
After BT2 and BT3, every single thing Spike did was a downgrade despite the fact that people constantly said they want a BT3 HD or BT4.
