People need to stop acting dumb and modifying single screencaps and going 'it looks better this way' as if it's viable for actual video work to be based on a shitty Photoshop alteration.

People need to respect the point of view of the others.
Also, a video programm can do the same adjusts that I've done on photoshop, it's just my idea, and my point of view.

You both have valid points.

One one hand, fan edits of still images typically can't compare to professional video editing. And if lots of people try it, there's the risk of confusing the fan edits with the original images.

But on the other hand, we're open to a wide variety of opinions and ideas here, so people are welcome to discuss what type of visuals they'd like to see in the Blu-rays, with visual examples if they want.

Minus that one off tweaks that were done specifically to one frame won't work the same overall, which is why video work needs more of a deft hand.

And just because someone has a point of view doesn't make it correct.

As I've said before, some people think Revenge of the Fallen is a better film than Casablanca. They are welcome to their opinion and point of view... but it is still wrong.

It just looks darker and blurrier. You can do that with your TV.

I'm not seeing either the darkness or blur.

Nope, I have made more intense the yellow and red, more lightning the white, more darker the black and I have deleted a lot of grain, but the bad of this is that if you do that, it's a little bit not more clear, but not too much.

It's different, not wrong. As I said, it's for my taste, for tastes there is the colours, I personally preffer more intense black and white and other colours and less grain, so that's it.

It doesn't seem like anyone did go to the Blu-Ray panel. Otherwise, we would've gotten a heads up. :|

The only major thing that came out of FUNimation from the con that we do know about is them teaming up with Nico Nico to provide joint licensed anime in the future.

I was at the panel, unfortunately I wasn't too close but it wasn't too bad. They showed the first half of episode 5. The footage did look quite good for what it was, but something, somewhere, had to be wrong....because some colors (like highlights on the face) were green! It was quite bizarre, and made it sort of distracting in a presentation that's supposed to be showing off new footage. As I said however, the colors and grain made it look pretty good in motion, but I'm still looking forward to a direct feed of the footage. In any case, the extreme fan reaction to the episode was completely worth watching for on its own!

Other than the screening, they talked about the history of Dragon Ball Z in America in good detail, and although I knew most of it, throwing in bits like the Sleeping Castle dub were good reminders. They then talked about the extras, but to be honest it was nothing too exciting if you watched the live interview about them. Probing interviews, lots of stuff from Chris Sabat and other members, and the 'Journey of the West' extras were mentioned again. Also apparently you get a collectible character card with each release, signed by the American actor.

Another interesting thing is how Sean mentioned he just finished his interview, and he was 'Completely uncensored/unrestrained' in his language.
I think I'll be buying assorted Dragon Ball things for the rest of my life.

The video looks pretty good. Are there any clues or a verdict on a press release for the rest of the 15th ani(?) videos (coming out)? :?:
