Sorry if this has been posted (I didn't see it anywhere).
In the "rumors" section of this website, the rumor of Steve Lukather (of Toto fame... I only know of them by name) playing guitar on Budokai tracks is addressed, and that there's footage of it. Well, I actually stumbled upon it. Enjoy:

It's very cool to see it being played, it almost doesn't seem real at first, but then Hironobu Kageyama pops up.

Yeah, the "DragonBall Z & DragonBall Z 2" OST comes with a bonus DVD with some mini music videos set to game footage, some behind-the-scenes footage of the soundtrack recording, and a full-length music video of the opening theme with Tower of Power, Steve Lukather, and Hironobu Kageyama. It's definitely something I suggest super-fans purchase for their collection

Yep, I'd definitely like to get my hands on it--it's some legitimately good music, for sure.
I also stumbled upon this, which is interesting.

His comments seem a bit tacky, but it's some interesting information nonetheless.
EDIT: Interestingly, I just noticed in that listing... if you click on the tracks that are highlighted in the listing, it will actually
play a sample of his work in the particular track. Hmm.

Now that I know this I would like to know if they have the same thing for the Z 3 soundtrack.

To be fair, he
is a pretty huge session musician, and has been since even before Toto. Hell, he and most of the other guys in the band played on
Thriller, just to name something. It's not surprising that after over thirty years, some work just starts to look like exactly that--work.
