As soon as I get the last 3 manga volumes I'm missing, the movies, and whenever my final Dragon Box decides to get here, I think I'll be "complete" with my collection. It primarily just consists of all of Dragon Ball, GT, Dragon Boxed 1-6, and the manga, so it's not all that extensive.
I'm happy with it, though.

I see that there are many opinions on what will complete a person's collection but I'm glad that other people are saying they will keep getting things. I feel like I will too.

It would be amazing even if you were being sarcastic. I would adore an item like that and the chance to meet him if you were implying you were there while he was drawing it.

TheLegendary117's comment gives me hope specifically "..The one I love will back me on that". I have not personally met one woman yet that actually likes Dragonball. Any relationship I have had would end up belittling my love for the series or ignoring it or not liking it at all. I use ebay regularly and the people that I speak with on why they are selling their items, especially recently, have told me they are selling their things because their wife doesn't like "all that stuff". I have even had a wife selling her husband's Dragonball stuff for him to get it out of the house. I was almost depressing hearing about their stories.(If there are females on here I am aware there is a flipside to this but the point was significant other not supporting your love for the show).

I am relatively new on here but I am glad to find a community that shares my love for this series. Being able to visit daily and read posts full of Dragonball information, discussions, sales. I am very grateful for it existing.

I wasn't being sarcastic in the slightest.

I am glad :D It would be the centerpiece to my collection if I somehow was able to have that happen...and videotape him drawing it. Sounds a bit obsessive to some but it isn't to me xD

Anime:

Dragon Boxes.

I have two left for Z. I will buy a Movies box. I would buy a DB box, and maybe even a GT box. I own original DB and GT, but if a proper Dragon Box release was done with Dragon Box packaging, default Japanese audio, next episode previews and proper credits sequences, I'd be happy to double dip. I don't give a fuck about Blu Rays or any other format after the Dragon Boxes, and it helps that the Blu Rays would certainly have at least a few trade-offs that would make them at least not unequivocally "the best release".

Far in the future, if I have a very very solid income to waste frivolously, I may find myself getting the R2 Dragon Boxes at some point. That's more a far-off dream than a real goal, though.

Manga:

Kanzenban. If a proper English translation ever surfaces in Kanzenban format, I'll buy the manga. Otherwise, no thanks.

Other Stuff:

I'm not really into the merchandise and haven't bought a game in ages. If a really cool game or piece of merch surfaces I might buy it, I guess? It's not something I feel I need to "finish" a "collection", though, the core collection will always be the main series in Dragon Box and Kanzenban formats.

Once I get Dragon Box 7 and the Remaining Parts of Kai, I am done purchasing Z for good.
As for Dragon Ball and GT, I'll have to wait until they announce the Dragon Boxes for them. I believe that they will release them.

I'm a bit of a completionist, so I want everything.

I need to complete my collection:

The rest of the Edited Dub VHS tapes. I have most of them, maybe 90%.
The rest of the single uncut DVD's. I only have a few of these.
the rest of the 2 disc Saga sets for Dragonball. I have all of the not-rediculously-expensive ones. Still need one of the Piccollo sets and the first World Tourneyment set. I've got the first Blue Brick and the Kidmark Saga of Goku to cover for the unreleased except in Austrailia Saga of Goku set.
I need every volume of the manga except 3. I'f love the Big Book format, but the digest size works for me. Needs some color pages though.
Saiyan Conflict and Namek Saga DVD box sets. I have the VHS box sets already.
All of the US Dragon Boxes
home recorded VHS tapes of the Canadian dub of DBZ that uses Ocean voice actors. I tried doing that myself with a torrent, but it seems the tracker's always down. Any tape traders in Canada that still do VHS?
DBZ Movies 3, 4, 9, and 12 on their origional single DVD release. Uncut.
DBZ Movies 1, 2, and 3 in their origional box set redub DVD release. Uncut.
DB movies 2 and 3 in uncut DVD. Movie 4 on VHS. The new dub of Movie 1 uncut as well.
VHS releases of DBZ movies 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13
The origional single DVD releases of the DBZ TV Specials. I have the steelbook double feature.
Fansub of The Plan to Eliminate the Saiya-jins
all the DB Kai DVD's
all the uncut VHS's that have differnet cover art than the editted ones. Not spine art, but cover art.
DBZ Movie 3 origional editted dub from 1997 or whatever. The Ian Corlett version.

I'm a long ways away, but at least i have more material than i need. I have all the orange bricks, both green bricks, a blue brick, most of the editted VHS's, and many, many episodes taped off TV, all the movies except 9 in some form or another, and some more stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I need Z boxes 5, 6, and 7.
I need DB seasons 2-5, or a possible Dragon Box.
I will buy the remaining 3 GT singles boxes. If they come out with a Dragon Box, I could give a shit, it's not like I'm gonna watch GT more than once or twice.
I don't like Kai, don't intend to get a single part. I planned to long ago, but I decided against it.
I only have the first two DB VizBigs, I need the rest, and the ones for Z.
I will only get the movies if a Dragon Box comes out.
Then, I'll finally have this curse lifted off of me.

Out of curiosity, I added this all up, all off Amazon, except the DB seasons.
Price before taxes or shipping: $340.61
Sounds like a lot, yes. But, then, I would have everything. 508 episodes, all the manga, holy shit.

Since I mostly collect figures I'd say no. It will probably taper on and off for a bit but I won't stop, not for the foreseeable future unless there's a huge natural disaster or war or something. Right now I'm mostly working on picking off things I've always wanted or wanted to re-buy and I'm doing really well in that area so I can see my collecting rate slowing down a bit but we're going to be going strong for a while to come.

I definitely want to complete my Dragon Box collection before the year ends. I've only got 2 more to go until I complete it! I also just finished getting all the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z vizbig volumes. That was one of my biggest accomplishments (anime/manga wise) for this year. I also want to finish getting the rest of DBKai on DVD. I only have sets 1-2.

I'm debating on whether or not to get the DBZ 4 Movie packs. I doubt those sets will get an updated dub with the Kai voice cast. So unless it gets a new dub I won't be getting them since I already have the original ocean dub movies (which is by far one of the best dubs dbz ever got). But anyway, that's about all I have left to get.
- Been a Dragon Ball fan ever since 1995 (at the time, I was 7 years old).
- I prefer Saffron Henderson's Kid Gohan and Kid Goku over Stephanie Nadolny's.
- I still hope for a redub of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z with FUNimation's current cast.
- I prefer to watch Dragon Ball Z with the Faulconer Score, however I do not mind the original Japanese score.

After Dragon Ball Z Kai ends its blu-ray run. I think I'll call that good. I've been looking into getting rid of some stuff and have considered selling my Season Sets on eBay (Dragon Ball through GT) and just keeping Kai.

When the final DBZ blu-ray is in my possession. Haven't decided when I'll start buying them. I still have three dragon boxes to watch.

I'll be finished..... WHEN I DIE.

No, seriously there are a few things I still want in my Dragon Ball collection.

- Dragon Box 7 so I can own all of the 291 episode Dragon Ball Z series on DVD.

- Dragon Box ZA MOOOVIES. Come'on FUNimation, we know you have the masters!

- The Dragon Ball and GT Blue and Green Bricks. I'm not really sure if I want these over the Dragon Boxes, but I have heard they're watchable.

- I wouldn't mind owning a few more MegaHouse figure sets.

- I want that damn Baby figure from the Ultimate Collector series. He's my key to having a full Shenron figure.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

If the time ever comes when I have the entire franchise in Dragon Box quality, I'll consider my collection complete. Since I have all seven Dragon Boxes FUNi put out + the Special Selection DVD from Japan, that basically means I'm done with the Z-TV series... Now I'm just hoping that FUNi will eventually announce Dragon Boxes for the other two series and the movies as well. I mean, the current sets for those do seem decent, but after getting Z in nigh-perfect quality... I just feel like the contrast between them might make those a bit harder to enjoy... Plus the available sets for original Dragon Ball and GT only have the English episode title-cards, and I'm just nitpicky enough that this would probably drive me insane.

And while I do own the entire manga, it's via the terrible Norwegian translation, and I have been considering re-purchasing it in a better format. Specifically, I'm thinking of getting the Kanzenban. I think I've gotten good enough at Japanese over the years that I could probably understand it.

(And on a completely unrelated side-note that I'm sure nobody cares about in the slightest yet I feel like mentioning anyway... I hadn't logged into this account since November 2009... I was honestly surprised my account hadn't been deleted due to inactivity or something...)

I'm getting very close. I have all seven us dragon boxes, which are the centerpiece of my collection. I also just finished a project of collecting all 20 GT singles from Funimation, which i prefer over the season sets for next episode previews and Japanese title cards. That's why I'm also trying to track down all the original Dragon Ball saga sets. For the first thirteen episodes, I might splurge and import from Japan. Anyway, apart from the three anime, I'm also buying the upcoming movie boxes from Funimation to have all the films in widescreen. I have the three dragon ball movies and the tenth anniversary film as well. Also looking for original full screen versions of the z tv special and I'm going tO have to get the GT special. Finally, I already have all 42 manga volumes from viz. that's the gist of it.

I need a few more Kai Blu-Rays (I stopped after about the third one) and I've misplaced a few of my Kanzenban and Daizenshuu, so I might need to check out what I need there.
