Put it in my blu ray player got the same result . It will only allow it to go up to or around 30mb. Unless its the opening.MarcFBR wrote:That is my point man. Windows Properties shows quick data, not accurate.SSJMan wrote:When it comes to FPS yes. It would be off my a little because it only allows 2 numbers to show up, only the media player needs to know that. But if it where wrong about memory and space it tells you down to the dot how much. If the computer operating system does not know, than the computer does not run right.
Grab a data scanner specifically for BD data and it'll show the proper bitrate.

That's a proper BD scanner. If you need help I'd be more than happy to show you how to use it for this and future use. Far more accurate numbers than the generic numbers most things pull up.

No. I work under someone, even then all we do is are indie films, weddings, events, commercial advertising, the biggest thing iv done was stock footage put on a 100gb blu rays. although for advertising we also do digibeta transfers.dagame10k wrote:Are there any credits to show who worked the authoring of the Blu-Ray disc? Well thank you for totally ignoring Marc's comment above that might actually be of use.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Are you satisfied yet? If its pulled up to 40mb then all you would need is one more disc.

Mind copy pasting the text part? You can send it in a PM if you'd prefer. As much of the information wouldn't mean anything to most of the members, and you and I can discuss it in private.SSJMan wrote:http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd4 ... itrate.pngMarcFBR wrote:He more than likely had downloaded the program and was looking at it before commenting.bkev wrote:Well thank you for totally ignoring Marc's comment above that might actually be of use.

The data never really pasted correctly (not sure why, but it didn't for whatever reason) so I'll just use the graph he posted before to prove the point.
http://db-destiny.net/Bitrate-lineon30.png
This is his graph from earlier, with a single pixel red line put on 30. It clearly isn't an average of 30. It's likely 25 or under looking at it frankly.
Perhaps ect5150 could do a datascan when he has time and perhaps it'll come out with the proper information, not sure why it isn't coming out right with SSJMan, but credit to him for trying.

It would not pass 30mb unless it was encoded to. so what would happen it it were raised by 10mb? Thats right it would be encoded to have a height of 40mb.MarcFBR wrote:The data never really pasted correctly (not sure why, but it didn't for whatever reason) so I'll just use the graph he posted before to prove the point.

Except as the chart shows, it clearly isn't 30, or even that close to 30. It's likely 25 or under based on the graph average.SSJMan wrote:It would not pass 30mb unless it was encoded to. so what would happen it it were raised by 10mb? Thats right it would be encoded to have a height of 40mb.

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
So now that we have graphical evidence about the bitrate, I hope this argument is over. People can draw their own conclusions from the images. (It looks like a ~23 average to me.)
I realize these video tangents are kind of relevant, but at the same time, people come to this thread for news and direct discussion, and that gets lost in the sea of technical info. So I really hope we can cut back on that kind of thing from now on.

Total Bitrate
TOTAL Bitrate...Total
not Video bitrate.
Anytime you tried to paste the section specific fir video bitrate it didn't paste correctly.
The total bitrate is all the streams added TOGETHER, not just the video.

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
So, er, amongst all this technical jargon, I'm really loving it. I unforuntately don't have the Dragon Box to compare but the picture really is beautiful. Yeah, the lack of NEPs and Japanese title cards are disappointing, but considering I personally watch it in Marathon Mode when given the opportunity it's kind of a moot point to me in that regard. I'm kind of in an odd situation with these Blu-Rays since I missed out on the localized Dragon Boxes since I was so miffed that they decided to bring them out the moment after I paid god knows how much on all nine orange bricks. Combine that with untimely money troubles, I just couldn't justify getting them. Now that the wounds of the Orange Bricks have healed, I'm ready to buy the series a second time over. Part of me is glad I waited, the other part of me is still unsure if I should just find a used Dragon Box lot on eBay...then another part wants me to get both Dragon Boxes and the Blu-Rays now that I have the money, but that's beside the point. From a strictly personal standpoint, I'm very satisfied with the purchase and will more than likely be getting every one as they come out.
Oh, and I like the new subtitle font. Dunno if it was just me but I can't stand FUNi's DVD font. The BD's font is still kind of dull and I wish it were something more prominent like yellow, like how the subs are on the Pioneer Movie 1-3 discs, but it's much more crisp and easier on the eyes than the one they've been using for the last decade on the DVDs, so I'm happy either way.

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Since you haven't responded to Marc's latest post yet, SSJMan, I thought it might be helpful for everybody if you could explain how you would set up each of these three disks to make them work with the numbers you're suggesting. Leaving aside increasing the video bitrate by a third and adding an extra disk, what bitrates would you give the audio tracks for each disk, and thus what would be the total bitrate compared to the one you posted above? If you write it out something like--
Video bitrate: _________
Audio track 1 bitrate: _______
Audio track 2 bitrate: _______
Total bitrate: _________
--I think more people might see what you're going for. Basically, if you could take the sort of text that bluray scanner puts out and write in your own numbers, it might be easier to see if it's feasible.

If TPP passes in your country it will be illegal for you to watch an imported DVD. Click here to learn more!

I would have done it like this.
Each episode
avc
1440x1080 not 1920x1080
Aspect 4:3
Profile high
32 bit full range with exist of 12 bit pixel range
Video bit rate adjustable to size 6.5gb to 7.5gb
Unlimited pass
Maximum (bps) 40000000
Average (bps) 32000000 - 25000000
Minimum (bps) 17000000 (bypass) when needed
automatic Dolby TrueHD loss less Stereo
automatic Dolby TrueHD loss less 5.1
Mono aac 48000 hz bit rate (bps) 160000
