My remaster entry!

Gosh, do you see that? That shot looks like pure shit! With all it's correct colors and acting like it's perfect and whatnot! Freakin' weeaboos!
Image
Now this is what the show should look like! It's so cinematic, and I love the brightness! Who cares if it's missing like, half the lines! It's still awesome!

If you can't tell, I'm joking.

What's wrong with you man? That freakin' sucks! Why is the sky green? It should always be blue! Also, it's not cinematic enough; I can still see lots of his body! I can also still see details as well, and those just distract me from the story, so they need to be wiped away.

...does this thread really have any purpose anymore? If it's just going to be users making a bunch of mildly amusing parody posts, I really don't see any point of it going on any longer.

I don't know if I should even try anymore to draw something. Unless I read it wrong taking the image and adding blur/other effects to make the picture look more horrendous and saying how it compares to the orange brick was definitely not the point of this. Just because one person liked the orange bricks doesn't mean you should shit all over this thread with not serious entries :|

Unless it is then I'm completely wrong, it just seemed like a fun idea to do until all the stuff popped up.

How come second prize is just a GT single and third prize is the complete Lucky Star collection? I'd much rather have that.

It was funny the first time, but if the whole thread is going to consist of someone taking a screenshot and stretching out and over-saturating it to make fun of the orange bricks, then I seriously feel bad for the original poster. The point was to make a screenshot that is better than the orange bricks, since we all know that the orange bricks suck.

Given that the OP went on about how the blurring makes the show "leave an epic impact" and the cropping makes it "very enjoyable", I don't think we all do.

to be honest with you, I just wanted to make a thread that would produce some decent discussion and really cool artwork. I'm in the UK and this forum is largely populated by the US and other far away countries. it would cost me a lot to post these prizes. These prizes are also from my personal collection.

I wanted to do this to give something back to the community. if no one's interested then I guess it doesn't have to happen.

^Well if this thread is just gonna keep going like it's been going...I see no reason why he shouldn't just call it off.

Come on, this could be a great & fun contest (for those even remotely artistically inclined), I'd love to participate!! But frankly given my drawing skills, I'm not so sure stick-figures would best anybody else's attempts. So instead I'm going to bump up the prize bounty with:

Dragonball Movies 3 & 4 + the Midori Days Complete Collection!

Image

(all three releases in great condition, from my personal collection that I have duplicates of)

dexterp, please add them to whichever Winning Placement as you see fit. The Winner, once determined will simply need to PM me their mailing address and I will gladly drop whichever title you won in the post to you. Hopefully this will help generate a little more legitimate interest in this contest. It could easily be a great chance to have some fun with fellow fans & perhaps show off some artistic prowess while at it :-)
