So...the ultimate uncut dub that aired on Cartoon Network? Or the Ocean dub?Gaffer Tape wrote:I believe Ashura is referring to the actual broadcast track without re-recorded dialogue, not what FUNimation claims is the broadcast track.

The dub as it aired on Toonami. The one before they fixed some lines for the bricks.

The original dub of the actual seasons 3 and 4, before they re-recorded lines and replaced actors.

Oh, it's actually 7 minutes long. So it's a extended version of it. It plays like a episode of DBZ. Hell, they even use the first ending at the end of the documentary!Tanooki Kuribo wrote:I think every has seen that already. It was shown at Otakon months ago then made it's way to youtube. The 12th and 13th pages of this topic have comparison shots between Funi singles, Double Features (Although I would think DVD footage is used), with a couple from the Dragon Box.
what are the chances that they might get re released with region a/B encoding ? madman never released the BDs in saying that what about other areas of EU ?

Can you tell me if it says anything about the region on the case?Soul wrote:I picked up Level 1.1 at Hastings today, guess they broke the street date. Interestingly? I got 3 of those Vegeta art cards. Cool...I guess.

The remastering featurette has been put up by Funimation:

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Yes, this is exactly what I'm saying. We're not even at the point where they redubbed a lot of stuff yet and people are complaining. We don't know what they'll be putting on the set. I really doubt they'll include the original DVD track to be honest, but if enough people told them they wanted it they might.AgitoZ wrote:Oh, okay. What I was saying, though, is if people got together and campaigned to get the old dub track put on there for future volumes, I think the energy would be better spent campaigning to get stuff that would actually improve the release, like the Japanese title cards and what have you.
What I see a lot reading these boards is people have a tendency to sort of just sit around here and complain about Funimation instead of working toward trying to get what they want to see. If you want to see alt angles and stuff on these, then find a constructive and clever way to get Funi to notice you want it.

That's not the full version. There's a seven-ish minute long version on the actual Blu-ray.DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:The remastering featurette has been put up by Funimation:

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Would it be against the rules for someone to post this feature?
On a different note, Madman has scheduled this for a January 2012 release which is pretty soon considering it took about 5 months for them to put out Kai:
http://madboards.madman.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=28920
I'll probably just stick with the U.S release though since it's multi-region and I'm sure Madman will put a hefty price tag on this thing (I bet they'll leave out the Christopher Sabat card thing as well.)

Excuse me if this has already been answered, but on the Dub w/JP Music Track...Does Cha-La Head-Cha-La play as the intro? And does Zenkai Power play as the closing (Which it did NOT on the Season Sets!)?

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Well I'm guessing they will be using the OB dub for this? If I am correct then I think they should throw in some clips of the 1999 dub, the broadcast version of the UUC dub and (if they have have the rights) the 1996 dub as extras.
Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Cha-La doesn't play as the intro, but Zenkai Power does play as the closing.Gozar wrote:Excuse me if this has already been answered, but on the Dub w/JP Music Track...Does Cha-La Head-Cha-La play as the intro? And does Zenkai Power play as the closing (Which it did NOT on the Season Sets!)?

...Are you kidding me? After all these years they still won't use the proper opening theme?

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
That's strange? When I watched DBZ on the OB's (with it set to dub/Kikuchi)the ending song was Zenkai Power. Then again I had the Madman releases so maybe its different for the US versions.Gozar wrote: And does Zenkai Power play as the closing (Which it did NOT on the Season Sets!)?
Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Sorry, my mistake. I got it reversed. I knew one didn't play. Not sure why I thought it was the closing though, lol. But it's sad to see that FUNi is still screwing these things up.

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
That's a bit disappointing. I would have thought they'd fix this since they did for the Dragon Box.
