There's already plenty of threads about these and the Movies DBox. In those same threads people have posted responses from e-mails which are the exact same as this. Do we really need another thread about this?

Well, I guess it's settled then. I'm getting the Blue and Green bricks next year. :)

Man they say that shit for everything, so don't take it to heart. Not to mention they've said the same line for stuff we knew was coming, so I think it's more of an automated message than anything. And even if they aren't planning to release them "at this time," it still doesn't mean they aren't trying to obtain it or are already in possession of it.

Take for instance the movies. Some user on here emailed 'em on when they will releasing the movies, and they said the same thing. We all know they acquired the movies when they got series, so the only thing left for them to do is find a spot in their release schedule to fit these, which I think will be soon since they're throwing out the Z movie packs with motivation. If this was in fact the last Z movie release then they'd slow it down a bit.

I honestly don't care if we never get DB or GT in Dragon Box form If we get the movie Dragon Box.

The Z series and it's movies being released in Dragon Box form is really all I NEED. The Blue bricks will suffice for now If and when I plan to buy them.

Green bricks I am not really interested in, but of course one day, I will want to own GT, since I have never seen it all the way through, and It's still part of the Dragon Ball legacy, even if it's not cannon and utterly ridiculous at times.

Nah, not at all. This looks like the typical "We're glad you showed interest in _________ but, at this time we have no plans to release _______." letter. And of course they have to throw in their official web site for good measure.

The older you get, you'll see more and more of these until one day they just don't mean anything anymore. Nothing against FUNimation, it's just standard practice... uh, unless you're Manga UK.

I kinda need the Dragon Ball Dragon Box...but since I doubt they'll come out for a long time (if ever), so I went and bought the old DVD releases. Though, I still need the Australian Saga of Goku... :/

The movies are also important; I can't wait for those. DBGT I don't care about.

You could import the first 3 singles and use the first blue brick for subtitles, if you know how to do that.
Personally I'll just buy the blue bricks. If they come out with a movies box, I'll get it. If they have a DB and GT box, I don't really care.

Also note that "have no plans" means "either we currently have no plans, or we do have plans but aren't going public with them yet". Asking a company if they're going to release something they haven't announced they'll be releasing will never get you insider exclusive information. "Currently no plans" just makes it sound less like lying if the correct answer is "yes, but we're not telling you", but can still be used if the answer is "no".

I hate the blue bricks 'cause they don't have the Japanese title cards. If the English dub's title cards were translations of the original title cards, then I'd be fine with them... I'd personally like to combine FUNi's subtitles with the Dragon Box video/audio for ALL the episodes. Not having the right openings and endings bother me. As does the horrible sounding audio. >_<

With the title card things, it's another of those situations where later releases being different than initial ones. Kind of like how box sets of Negima and ADV series don't have the extras that the earlier releases had.

I don't understand. Did the blue bricks change in later printings?

Well, if you've got the money to, go for it. I just figured that you already had the saga sets so you would only need the first 13 episodes.

This is from the Dragon Box: The Movies thread:
At this time there is not a planned Dragon Box release for the movies. If that changes, we'll be sure to post an announcement on our website at http://www.funimation.com

Thank you for your inquiry.
They pump out generic responses like that, just changing up the words. I remember years ago asking if they planned on releasing the entire Cell Games Saga in a boxed set and that was pretty much their response.

To see if these are really automated responses, later today I'll email them with these questions:
"Are there any plans to release Dragon Box AF?"
and
"Are there any plans to release Dragon Ball Z Kai with the Bruce Faulconer score?"

No fizz, see ya guys later.
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.
