To be honest, I was afraid this movie wasn't going to take off.

Then Piccolo and Metamancha owned it. I think "Oh my god, are you Batman?" is officially the hardest I've laughed at this series. Vegeta recording the Krillin own and English Bubbles were incredible icing. I see you've got Goku's weird predictions, metaphors, and cut-offs down to an art.

Love the arrangement here, between emphasizing the over-the-top violence in the movie and all the Kai music.

For me, Piccolo was definitely the funniest character this episode. Goku's getting noticeably more funny too. And of course, pinnacle editing makes everything come together perfectly.

Does anyone know what the difference between this version and the one that was taken down earlier is? Was something missing from the earlier version?
On hiatus.

I concur. He was easily the best part of what was already an amazing production.
Oh, definitely.

Yeah, that part was pretty good, too.

Also, I just realized that my favorite movie is next in line.

Of course, it's pretty much everyone's favorite movie, but yeah.

Piccolo: Gohan! I need you to do that thing that really annoys me!
Gohan: You mean, talk?
Piccolo: WHAT!? YOu know that thing you were doing earlier today! It really got on my nerves!
Gohan: I don't recall Mr Picc-
Piccolo: WHAT!? He hasn't loosened his grip yet so your probably not doing it! Remember, back at the waterfall, you were doing it with your mouth!
*Silence* *Gohan Stares*
Piccolo: WHAT!?
Gohan: oh, whistle. *Whistles Andy Griffith Theme*

TFS, your becoming the masters of DBZ comedy.

Honestly, I think Nail should always be a voice in Piccolo's head. I'd love that. Then, when Kami merges with Piccolo, you could make them have a three way conversation like Piccolo is introducing Nail to Kami, and such. I think it'd be pretty funny. Lord Slug Abridged has shown me it's a really funny concept if done right. I don't mean do it in all episodes, just once is a while. I just think it's better than having Nail fade away into Piccolo's sub-conscious or however it went in Episode 25.

Lord Slug Abridged was really funny. You guys made movie 4 watchable in the best way possible. Can't wait to see more movies and episodes.

So I guess I'm the only one left disappointed with this movie. I'm going to give TFS the benefit of the doubt here and believe that the reason this movie felt fairly weak was because of the material that was given to them.

Though I did realize something: Man, this film was fucking brutal.

I've got to be one on the only people who don't see anything abnormal with the violence in the movie.

While a level of violence is certainly expected in DBZ, it is usually not to this disagree. When deaths occur, it's after a flurry of punches and then some huge energy beam envelopes the doomed character and he dies.

Rarely do we see any of the fighters straight-up break limbs, and Piccolo decimating that henchman at point-blank range is perhaps the coldest thing I've seen him do in the entirety of the series.

It wasn't a nonstop thrill ride of lols, but yeah, as much as I've grown to appreciate the movie a little more lately, yeah, it's Lord Slug.

This. In the grand scheme of violence Slug isn't too special, but we get a decapitation and Goku repeating his Piccolo heart piercing... as an adult followed by the trippiest spirit bomb breakdown in the series.

What about the time 18 broke Vegeta's arm? Or when Raditz blasted off Piccolo's arm? We see plenty of violence in the original series, nothing about the movie strikes me as odd.

Piccolo blasting a whole through Goku's shoulder at the 23rd Budokai is easily the coldest moment of his.
