I feel like the excuse is a of a bullshit sort, myself, although that's just a personal feeling with no basis in anything reliable.

Makes sense to me. The dialog in the original DBZ dub is kind of slow. It's more natural of a pace in DBZ Kai.

I don't care how it happened, all that matters is that it got us Ayres as Freeza, which is spectacular.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

If anyone cares, I watched all 17 episode end credits and all the voice actors are credited correctly this time. As most of you know there were a lot of mis-credits in the season sets which carried over into the Dragon Box. The only minor mis-credit was listing Dave Moran for making the opening theme, Mark Menza made the opening theme not Moran.

Okay, forgive me but...every time you say something it ends up being purely speculative. So...where did you hear this?
I read it in different places multiple times, I don't exactly remember where. And, yes I do agree that most of the things I do say sound speculative, I apologize for that.

Also, what kind of font is used for the credits this time around? Any pics?

Sabat said it at a con to one of the members of this website (one of those who knew that Freeza was gonna get voiced by Chris Ayres before the rest of the world at large, don't remember who it was exactly).

I actually just realized now that 1.2 won't end on episode 36, the end of the Saiyan arc. Since it's only 17 episodes we'll end at 34. Honestly, I would've liked these sets to contain 18 episodes. I'm not getting these sets since I have the Dragon Boxes and so that means I have the whole series in a way that's perfect for me. But, for people who want this set, it would make sense to put the Saiyan arc into two halves and not have people wait another month or so for the last 2 episodes. Just my opinion, I think there could've been an extra episode on there. If there wasn't enough space, it's understandable, but since it's a Blu-ray, I think there may have been some space left.

While this is true, from a marketing perspective you gotta remember....
That 2.1's basically gonna have the Fake Namek arc.
They need something to get people to buy those volumes.

Horray for lossless mono! TrueHD 5.1 is English with JPN music, 2.0 is English with US broadcast music.

I can do a pretty extensive comparison between this, the US Dragonboxes and the JP Dragonboxes. But it will have wait until I visit home for Thanksgiving, as that's where the Dragonboxes are.

The quality certainly seems better than on the Dragon Box Z, but I'm very happy with the Dragon Box so I won't be spending money on these Blu-rays, besides I also have the Dragon Ball Z Kai Blu-rays.

But a 1:1 comparison is very appreciated! :D

Tell me about it! The Japanese Mono TrueHD track actually sounds nice. I'm starting to want to get this.

An actual lossless sample of the mono track for the Blu-ray would be nice, if anyone is willing to offer.

Not to keep spamming the same question over and over But no one really answered me :( Is the level 1.1 trailer on this Blu-Ray set?
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

No, the only DBZ related trailer on this set is for Level 1.2.
