Dragon Ball Kai Gohan's SS2 Transformation Music
I was watching the scene where Gohan turned into a SS2 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmEqzJYCVl0, and I thought the music was pretty cool. Is there any version of the song without Gohan screaming?

Unfortunately, the song was never officially released before the whole Yamamoto scandal came along, which pretty much dropped any chance of it being released.
If it helps at all, it seems like this is the CLOSEST thing you're ever gonna get to a clean version of the song, although its REALLY distorted, especially around the middle:

Okay, cool. I understand the middle being warped due to Gohan's screams, but it's not that bad. Thanks.

Has someone thought of getting the Japanese DVD/Blu-Ray and ripping it from there?

That would've been easy if all the Japanese DVDs replaced Yamamoto with Kikuchi before they even released eps 92+Gonstead wrote:Has someone thought of getting the Japanese DVD/Blu-Ray and ripping it from there?
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

That's sort of impossible, because the last Dragon Ball Kai Blu-ray / DVD was only released with the replacement DBZ BGM. I may be wrong, but having overlooked the date of release from the final DBK Blu-ray and DVD, don't think I am.Gonstead wrote:Has someone thought of getting the Japanese DVD/Blu-Ray and ripping it from there?

Nah, that's correct. This chart details which broadcast and release had which score -- as you can see, there's absolutely nothing that's been released anywhere for 96-98 with the Yamamoto score. At least with 77 to 95 we'd at least be able to just rip the audio from a JP TV broadcast capture to sync up.dbboxkaifan wrote:That's sort of impossible, because the last Dragon Ball Kai Blu-ray / DVD was only released with the replacement DBZ BGM. Re: Dragon Ball Kai Gohan's SS2 Transformation Music
Gonstead, if Dragon Ball Kai: Volume 4 was released, we'd have it regardless of the Blu-ray / DVD release, but unfortunately it wasn't. It'd been awesome if it came out.
So, I tried with Audacity's edit and while a voice is still there (Gohan's to be exact), it's better than nothing, IMO.

Re: Dragon Ball Kai Gohan's SS2 Transformation Music
I've seen tutorials on how to keep the voices/effects and change the BGM via DVD source, but by any chance, isn't it possible to do with HDTV rips?kei17 wrote:I tried to rip this track several times, but failed. I highly doubt it.dbboxkaifan wrote:I've seen tutorials on how to keep the voices/effects and change the BGM via DVD source, but by any chance, isn't it possible to do with HDTV rips?kei17 wrote:I tried to rip this track several times, but failed. With the DVD's, your essentially ripping directly from the physical source material where all the files needed to be taken or kept are readily available and while even if it was an HDTV-rip, it wouldn't be possible because the necessary stuff would be missing.
