Yeah, where did that art go?
And having just saiyans with saiyan names? That don't look like female versions of Naruto characters? (Yes, I hate "Hanasia"'s non-Dragon Ball design with a passion.)
Any word on when the story goes back to...you know...normal?

Most likely next week.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I really hope this comic gets back on track soon.
The specials are becoming increasingly boring. They should of been their own side comic.

Usually the chapters are 14 pages, and the maximum so far is 15 pages, and is already mid-November, so we have 1 or 2 pages left. Today is the day we will finaly learn.

[quote="Brakus"]For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". I have a feeling they'll continue this special again later. Since we don't see how Bardock becomes a Super Saiyan.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Well, eventualy they will die I think, but not in this story. Also, I re-read the 2 U3 Specials. Apart from the goofy art, the weird ingliz ,the Saiyan classes thing, and the plot-holes, it was an enjoying special. I hope the next specials will be like this, not just "funny things that happened in Universe [insert number here]" or "learn how the Z-Fighters died from [insert villain's name here]!".

I still think Hanasia's cute. Well, off to draw lewd drawings then.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I predict it'll be due to Goku been killed, since Bardock is the only one remaining at the tournament, but who knowsnathantheguitarist wrote:I have a feeling they'll continue this special again later. Since we don't see how Bardock becomes a Super Saiyan.
Tell the translators to pay some more attention... so lame it seems like they're using google translator lol

Well, knowing Freeza, it'd probably be the same if they died.

But this is different! The creator can change that! Videl is strong now and even Pan! I hate Pan and Videl and they both got this huge ass power boost; Yamcha, you could argue, did but he has a handicap, he became a goddamn android! Did Videl become one? Nope! Did Raditz even? NOPE! I'll go rant somewhere else for now, but I'll be back!Saiga wrote:Freeza was a big deal in his arc, but after that he was a complete joke. That's shonen for you.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Because that is the only way he could get strong, just like Yamcha. My point is, some characters seem to get the special treatment while others get nothing, barely even an honourable mention. Freeza gets owned by a bunch of weaklings while Cell and Bojack (of all people) get to go out on sprees of killing.... now I know there's a universe where Freeza is #1 but most of the time he shown to be a laughable dumb character. The others get to look stronger (Sans Dabra, which is a shame)
Fine, you hate Freeza, there's nothing I can do about that.
