Hopefully Toei fixes everything for their Blu Ray release.

Toei has plans on releasing a Blu-Ray version of the Dragon-Box?

Also does anyone know where I can pick up a VHS copy of Atsumare! Goku World?
I like to have as much of the rare stuff as possible :) I already have the overview special, So Atsumare! Goku World, Would look nice beside it :D
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128
Still recording Toonami broadcasts on VHS after all these years!

The first one in that page is included in the Dragon Box, I think, at the end of movie 6.

This is not a flaw at all. 99% of movie on VHS were fullscreen, be it open mate or pan and scan. A few of the Dragon Ball movies being released in fullscreen means literally nothing about the OAR. It's well understood in the film industry that more footage does not necessarily mean better. Even ignoring the admittedly few animation errors in the fullscreen versions, the frame composition is far superior in the widescreen version. Widescreen feels cinematic; 4:3 does not feel cinematic.

Says who? Theatrical movies were originally 4:3ish due to 35mm film having that rough aspect ratio. The only reason they switched was because movie producers were scared to death of people viewing movies in the same way at home as they did in the theater.

You could make the same argument for today with 3D in cinema. 3D isn't "more cinematic". It just "is". You could make some argument for "allows for more immersion", I suppose.

That is true. I should probably phrase this differently. Widescreen makes things feel more cinematic, but that's not to say something in 4:3 cannot feel cinematic.

A lot of these don't sound like flaws at all. Things like not having enough extras or TV specials which aren't essential or even seen outside of Japan not being included are not flaws. We were lucky to get all the stuff we did.

Fans will be fans. That's how we keep things interesting. It's more of a fascination at this point than an actual flaw. Aside the audio and coloring problems, I never knew how much stuff was left out for the R2 Dragon Boxes. When I bought the sets a few years ago I went with the thought of, "gee, Complete Dragon Ball series with many extras!". Now, I'm more like, man that's a lot that could have been added!

The Dragon Boxes are lacking in extras? Seriously? The tons of commercials, foreign dubs, tv specials, etc aren't enough? They could've given us the show by itself, which is the real reason for the boxsets, but were nice enough to give us all these little goodies. There's a reason the section where a majorities of these things are on Kanzentai is called "Our Main Wish List".

From a collector's view I'd view the Dragon Books as more interesting what with the character sketches and such. Since the majority of these clips could just be looked up on Youtube or the like.

There are many things to complain about the DBoxes but its lack of extras is certainly not one.
