Ug. I'd actually rather have a new Broly special.

Hopefully they give this thing a decent run time so it can flesh out the manga. But they'll likely just stick to the half-hour format, which should comfortably cover all three chapters but remain just as baffling and abysmal.

Eh, I wasn't really crazy for the Bardock manga special. It was a bit underwhelming but I'm willing to check out the animated special when it comes out. Hell, since we're not getting the Kai version of the Buu saga I'll take what I can get.

Some strange new project thingy? I'm gonna go lobby for the Point of No Return to be adapted into an anime. WE ARE THE 99%

Just kidding, but this is exciting.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

If there's a DVD, I will buy it. I hope it's open to everyone in the world if they do, unlike the Jump Special.

One the one hand it was overly smooth and had nice connection to LSSJ legend. On the other... Could our hero transform into his normal battle form (I don't even expect him to use brain cells) or would he has special transformation, requiring great power, that nobody had reached ever before etc. What.A.Stupid.Cliché. I bet that if I had injected Goku's blood into my stupid dog's veins she surely would turn blonde and start throwing fireballs.

But I'm going to watch special otherwise. I've survived DBZ movies and developed immunity to that kind of stupidity.

This is a honestly a waste of time. And I doubt it will come to america any time soon as it seems to be a Jump OVA like Yo Son Goku and Friends..

Even if Episode of Bardock was meh, new animated Dragonball is always nice. This is better than shiny new cutscenes in some terrible game, at least. I only hope this new special will get Funi into gear with getting the new specials. Also, I hope they don't keep Selypa's mullet in the animated version of that little flashback. :P

Man, I am really excited for this new animation! I highly enjoyed the manga version, and as such I can't wait to see exactly how they'll adapt the story. Also, awesome new animation is a definite plus!

Dat pattern:

2008: Yo! Son Goku & Friends Return!
2010: The Plan To Eradicate The Super Saiyans
2012: Episode of Bardock

I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

No. I want it too. Actually, what I really really (REALLY) want is a special in which Pan goes SSJ! I would fly to Japan to watch the premier if that ever happened!

I'm going to hold you to that  But seriously, I just want an official release for the Jump Special and the original Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans & The remake but that's going to take forever :(

Let em finish Kai first, then they can make all the new stuff they want lol. This coming from a die hard fan who'd love to see newer stuff but by newer... not random alternate stuff.

Well, first time I've ever encountered "We're sorry. Our current service is not available in your country." o_O

Can anyone closer to Japan view what the video on http://vjump.shueisha.co.jp/push/db/ contains? I'd like to know what it is.

I know its an opinion, and I should respect it, but...what? I can understand wanting Kai finished, but why would anyone prefer that they finish it instead of actually working on new material?

The same argument for why I'd like new stories in future video games is applicable for the animation scene as well. I've read the manga, watched the anime, and played games that cover the arc many, many, MANY times. I really just don't care about the same rehashed plot anymore. I still love the story of Dragon Ball, but you can only recycle the same version in different media so many times... It isn't actually produced with new animation, so its kind of a waste.

Awesome, shitty story will get 20 minutes of shitty animation. I can't wait for new One Piece Movie, whish is said to overcome even the Strong World!!!!!

Damn, I'm really sad what they did and are doing with fine franchise. When they decided to revive the series, they hired mediocre artist, who can't tell a story at all. If they simply started to adapting non-official fan manga Multiverse, it will be a 200% better than what they are doing. But that will never happen, first for the ''F**k you gaijin'' phenomena.....

I don't get it, why is TOEI treating Dragon Ball like a s**t. One Piece is great series (YES, AND IT COMES FROM MY MOUTH ACTUALLY), which grew on me, as I started to watch it to understand what is so awesome about it. Well, first 30 episodes were little dissapointing. Then goes Saint Seïya, with spin-off manga by great artist and storyteller, supervised directly by original author which got it's own anime series before a year and sequel or continuation by original author now ongoing.
Space Battleship Yamato goes for a remake next year, which is looking gorgeous from what I saw and it's how Kai should be done.

I'm starting to get annoyed by my most favorite series really fast. Leave it at manga and original anime, beyond except the video games, it's pointless.
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

Great news! I knew it would be released in anime format! By the way, are Dragon Ball Force Project and Dragon Ball SSSS Project the same thing?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

If anyone notices any typos or glaring omissions, certainly let me know!

(And now we wait for the animated version...)
