I honestly can't remember if I've ever posted here before or not, but I just wanted to say how excited I was to see that the new chapter is finally out. I've been really enjoying your work on this fanfiction so far, and as far as I'm concerned, this IS a canon GT. Or at least as canon as it can possibly get.

Can't wait to crack into the new chapter later now that I've downloaded it. Guess I'll have to put down the new Percy Jackson book for a while.

You know what's awesome? GTR is awesome!

Redgic Vs. Goku felt like a fight that actually had a plot, rather than just a show of flare. And Redgic's moves were pretty spiffy.

I was half expecting the oddly timed rain to dump acid on everyone or something.

The details in the flashback to Freeza's reconstruction are pretty brilliant.
Also, acknowledging that Redgic would have been wiped out by Future Trunks. I like how you manage to have a genuinely awesome character without ridiculous power inflation.

By the end of October? Ambition is delicious! Now I gots to make me some jacolanterns carved to look like dragonballs...

That was quite an explosive fight, no pun intended.

I've really loved all the old Freeza references in this mini-arc, and I'm actually a big Cooler fan, so I naturally loved seeing a shout-out to him in this chapter.

It's been forever since GT was on TV, so I don't remember much, and I'm not sure if I ever actually saw the Zoonama episode, but I suppose that's next. I'm looking forward to seeing how you handle it.

And Trunksette. :P

I dunno. Either way, maybe you could use it to build up some good ol' fashioned villain hate for the guy who killed him.

If you think the moves were impressive when Redgic used them, then hang on to your hat and wait to see what comes of it later!

Redgic weaseling his way out of going to Earth was a last-minute detail, actually. I originally envisioned him just leaving immediately after the events of that flashback.

Yeah, so is "Three-Course-Dinner Gum" from Willy Wonka, but that doesn't mean it'll actually happen!

... Did that analogy make sense? I'm a bit off today.

Well, I've got some good news, some bad news, and then some more good news.

The good news is that all the various mini-arcs from GT's 'Grand Tour' saga go through a multi-tiered and fair selection process in order to determine which ones get kept and adapted for GTR like Imegga was, and which ones are replaced with original stories (note: the "process" basically consists of how cool or lame I think the mini-arc's villain was. Hope nobody is too fond of Lood).

The bad news is that Kerubo/Gelbo arc, with Zoonama as the antagonist, didn't make the cut. The next little Black Star DB-centric story will instead be a GTR-original one.

The other good news is that most of the... "major elements" of this axed story will instead be distributed into other parts of GTR.

That's actually what I was expecting. I'm supposing the Lood cult will remain, however, because they're actually somewhat important to the next "saga"?

Eh... not really. I will say that you can count on seeing the major characters from it in one way or another.

Am I too late to post an all too short and pointless review!? :D

Well this recent chapter was another great remake of a somewhat memorable scene from the original series. Fight choreography was again spot on and well described. I never felt bored with the narrative and every character, even one note thugs like Shilla and Ghel, got a chance to shine. For some reason I found your take on Trunks really make an impact this time around in a subtle way. Throughout the story he shows some of the maturity and humility that his "future" timeline self had, while at the same time keeping some of that brash and cocksure attiude of his youth. I especially like how the latter qualities shone through, as this time Trunks get's himself in some trouble by taking Redgic alone and unprepared. I wouldn't like Trunks if he was simply a grown up version of his old bratty self but we saw by the end of the actual series that was not the case. However he would seem too much like his "future" counterpart if he was too mature and smart. It really gives Trunks a sense of being a real person who has grown up. That is exactly the type of quality character writing I have seen so far in this fictional reboot.

"One note?" You say that as if Shilla and Ghel are never going to appear again. :P

Yeah, Trunks has some character development in store. Maybe not anything major or super-drastic, but it'll happen.

So, Kaboom, still thinking the next chapter's going to be up freakishly early?

At the rate I've got it going now... yeah, it actually may be.

The only reason it has a chance is because it's going to be short. Like, maybe 10 pages, not at all like the 30-page behemoth that was the finished Chapter 13.

Good to hear though I was complementing the character development you have already showed through one simple scene 8). All the characters get some attention and seem to have . . . well character. I don't know how to describe it any better than that at the moment.

Damn . . . that can only mean one thing. Maybe those Mayans and their calendars were right after all. :?

I hate short chapters and the writers who write them.

Haha, nah Sean, I'm just not even kidding.

No, but really, more frequent chapters are fun. Glad to hear it won't take four months this time, looking forward to it.

Kaboom, I hate to bother you (and dupe anyone into thinking the new chapter's up), but can you give us an estimate on how much of the new chapter remains to be written?

... Lots.

The past few weeks have presented a whole new assortment of extra priorities to get in the way of writing, is all. I'm managing to get back into the swing of things, though, and the chapter thus far has been pretty easy to write.

Also, Skyward Sword.

Kaboom, just wanted to say I started reading it and I really like what you've done. Really hope Goku and Vegeta get to have their final fight as Super Saiyan 4s. One question though, how did you get the line breaks in the text?

You mean on fanfiction.net? There's a button for it in the document editor.
