People bought them! It's good to see the last of these sets reach fans loving arms. At the same time I find it funny how many prayed for this release but at the same time neglected buying these for almost two years. I feel no pity for them to be brutally honest. Let the scalpers have their turn now.
It's one thing to talk about having them. It's quite anotherto pay nearly $40 for each set.
$40 a set is nothing to how much many of us paid for the original R2 sets. You waited too long, you gotta pay the Piper. Well, in this case the scalper.

True. But $40 is still $40, no matter what it originally cost.

MSRP $80. Generally, around $50-$55 when first hitting the shelves. Sometimes going as low as $35, but usually between $40 and $50.

$40's not bad.

Seriously? You make it seem like all seven boxes have been available since 2009. Need I remind you that it's hardly been a month since Dragon Box 7's release? When has a release of a television series ever become problematic to find BEFORE its complete release? Some people -- myself included -- felt the need to wait until all seven were released because we were shafted by the orange bricks and wanted to at least make sure we could get the whole thing. From a stricly personal standpoint I didn't particularly have the money to spend on yet another release of Dragon Ball Z until a recent promotion at my job and the moment I have money to finally buy the sets I've been coveting for years (And believe you me I've been scouting used auctions for lots of DBoxes since early 2010 but never had the money to spend on anything but necessities when a good auction showed up.) I can't get the whole set until the hype dies down or I'm willing to spend the asinine amount of $200+ for a copy of Dragon Box 2.

It's nice that you have your Dragon Boxes, but there's no need to be so blunt about it. I think the Dragon Box announcement's timing was terrible. I know what happened to the singles. I didn't want to waste $300+ on a release I wasn't even sure was going to be completed. I wasn't going to be played for a fool again; not after I spent god knows how much on the season sets and steelbooks. Some people had different priorities at the time and didn't realize these things would become impossible to find before they were even finished.

Considering he just happily called himself a scalper I'd really doubt he'd be interested in giving a fair bargain to anybody here :/

:'( Well I'm actually on a mission to see how many copies of 2 i can get!! And the total number of Dragon Boxes i can get cheaply just picked up a copy of 6 and 5 off the amazon deal too bad it is already in that pile :'(

I have another new set coming that won off of Ebay by selling a used damaged copy of two!! They paid me $20 for that whole set in a way but, I'm still looking for cheap ones!!! When I am done buying new Dragon Boxes I will repost another picture. It is going to be awesome!!!!

BTW I just started buying these when i put this post up which was in the last month. And I haven't spent more than 40 on each one so it is still possible to get a set cheaply but your time is running out!! Thank Goodness for my DBZ Action Figures I bought all of these minus selling the damaged two with the money I got from them!!! :D

Not wanting to be a mini-mod, but can you just edit your posts instead of double-posting? Thanks! :D

Is the flaunting really that necessary? I don't mean any offense, but seeing as this is a Dragon Ball community, a lot of us are having trouble finding Box 2 at the moment and you seem to be having the time of your life finding a plethora of copies for cheap just to post about how many you have and are selling in the thread you created to let people know that the Boxes are discontinued... don't you think that's a little much? If you're a scalper, I have no problem with that. You do what you want to do, but I dunno, posting it here just seems to be in kind of poor taste if you ask me.

Well I am not a scalper that was a joke I am a collector of Dragon Boxes as you can see but, I am just stating that it is still possible to find cheap dragon boxes so don't give up hope!!! I started this post to let everyone know they were being discontinued, then I started buying them up as I could, it was still possible for people to get them cheaper if they had taken the warning but, you have your own opinion so, that is not a problem.

Good Luck on completing your set I am now heading to the next dragon ball release lol sad thing is it doesn't matter how many times they re-release the things if it says Dragon Ball I will buy it

Collecting the Level sets Now :D

Here is an auction on Ebay but I don't know what the sellers reserve price is :/

Here is the whole set if anyone hasn't even started it isn't new but it would probably be cheaper to bid on this then try to buy them individually :/

Jeez that's a hell of lot of Dragonboxes - I thought you were like me and 'dprez' trying to complete our sets XD.

But on a more serious note I think that that's it for Dragonbox 1 - Look on rightstuf: (Sorry about the small screenshot)
Image

The other times it was out of stock but, as you can see its not even listed anymore - similarly to Dragon box 2.

Well, I'm glad I paid what I did for DBox 2 when I did, otherwise I wouldn't have it right now and would be majorly stressing about getting it, but I can see now that I possibly could've gotten it cheaper from this chaos dude who bought a shit load of them.

I dunno i think the evidence was their that they would become hard to find!! The steady price increase of two was one hint, but also lets not forget how expensive these sets were over in Japan at $1000 a piece. The thing that is shocking me is that if this trend would happen to all of them it would be cheaper to buy the Japan Dragon Boxes but that I think is very unlikely. I will say I don't think that Dragon Box 2 is going to go down in price anytime soon!!!

Who knows I have been wrong many times before but, with how many Z fans it looks like is scrambling to get 2 that demand will drive the short supplies prices up :/
