Anime Labs Website

Post by SSJ_Vejita » Wed Dec 07, 2005 11:05 am

Could someone please tell me te website of Anime Labs? I want to download some DBZ episodes. I know the subtitles are bad though, but I can't think of any other site that gives DBZ episodes that are not of FUNi.

AnimeLabs was a fansubbing group *ages* ago, and doesn't have a website. Furthermore, the quality of their fansubs (both subtitling and video quality) was so bad you may as well just watch DragonBall/Z/GT on a scrambled cable signal and throw in a 'fuck' every 5th spoken sentence.

Also, it's illegal and as much as I dislike FUNimation, I wouldn't condone it. Buy the DVD's or rent them online. Don't come asking stupid questions again.

Not actually wanting to download anything (I own all the DVDs anyway), I clicked on the link out of curiosity. Thank you Corey. Thank you for making me vomit.

I'm sorry, but it takes a special kind of stupid to barge onto a message board where *FUNi employees post* and ask us to break U.S. copyright law. I had to fight back against the stupid waves coming off the post.

Just wanted to say, whoever was re-recording your fansubs must have not known what they were doing. The ones I have aren't bad at all. I mean they weren't DVD quality or the highest VHS quality available but they were good. The subtitling wasn't prefect but it didn't interfere with the story line, such as FUNimation has done. AnimeLabs did have a website but now it is non-existant. I bet it shut down like 3-5 years ago.

Oh, the ever infamous Goatse... I think every internet veteran has had a run-in with it at some point or another...

Aside from the fact that bootlegs are not condoned here, Animelabs had some of the worst subtitling around.

Nuff said.

I was watching the episodes online, a long time ago. Like 5-6 years ago. So yeah, they sucked and it had something to do with those encoding them, but most VHS/VCD/DVD fansubs these days that are by AnimeLabs would be what, 20th generation tapes?

And yes, Gohan saying 'Fuck!' doesn't interfere with the established character at all :P
