@rs_chaosmaster Instead of spending your money on 300 copies of each set and not planing to sell them, wouldn't be better if you had bought 1 time each set, and for emergency use, copy the episodes into your PC or empty DVDs?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
I mean that is a pretty good solution but, I dont have the time to copy all 291 episodes onto blank dvd's or back them all up on my computer nor does my piece of shit comp have the ability!!! So it is a great solution but not probable at least not for me!!!! Plus I didn't spend any of my money really like I said got all these from half of what my action figures sold for!!!

I'll be checking this auction just to see how much it'll go for. I paid more or less about $327 (£210) (importing doesn't always come cheap).Craddle wrote:WHOA...Check out this auction guys.

My FUNi DB BOX Z's won't be going up for sale, I bought them for myself not to sell it afterwards.
Thanks, Crad.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
I bought the Dragon box 1 fairly quickly and then my add kicked in and I was doing other stuff, buying other things. I check on amazon today to see how much box 2 is and I see it was discontinued..
So pissed at myself.
I can likely get all the others in next few months but I'm very particluar about things so I NEED box 2 or I might as well forget the rest of the set.
damn it.

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
Found Dragon Box 2 for $35 last night on Smartz Place or something of that nature. Unannounced to me it went immediately out of stock that night... Shoot. I was gonna buy it this morning but they placed the "on order" tag over it.
Edit:
@rs_chaosmaster
Are you willing to sell any of those for a low price by any chance?

I think Smartzplace is abit dodgy they have always advertised it as in stock. I was going to buy it but it had lots of poor reviews - that said they had a complete change up apparently so might not be dodgy anymore.Perfect wrote:Found Dragon Box 2 for $35 last night on Smartz Place or something of that nature. I've done this before and broke scalping prices with Power Ranger figures and I'm sure I can do it with these DVDs. At the very least help members here.
Whenever I find Vol.2 of the Dragon Box I'll sell them here for 30 plus shipping costs. Since I drive around Pawn Shop hopping, this should cover my gas. I've found Dragon Boxes usually for twenty at random E-Z Pawns. That's also where I found three Cooler Steelbooks for $5.00 each. I'll just need to know which volumes are out of print since I usually find these here in Vegas.

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
This whole discontinuing of the Dragon Boxes sort of reminds me of when they were announced just after the Orange Bricks finished production. The Blu-rays represent the "Dragon Boxes" (only they were announced and released at a somewhat earlier point than the Dragon Boxes were) and the current Dragon Boxes represent the "Orange Bricks" (except they, for some unknown reason, are still selling well).
So mondo lame.

I don't think that is very accurate sorry but comparing the Dragon Boxes to the orange bricks is blasphemy!!! Anyone Disagree???
Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
I'm ecstatic! I just found Dragon Box 2 for $$36.99 on Buy, brand new! Aside from this, the cheapest one I could find was here for $150.

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
I'm saying that the resemblance between the switching of releases from the Dragon Boxes to the Blu-rays reminds me of the transition from the Orange Bricks to the Dragon Boxes. The comparison was not literal, but rather figurative.rs_chaosmaster wrote:I don't think that is very accurate sorry but comparing the Dragon Boxes to the orange bricks is blasphemy!!! Did you purchase the last box 2 from buy.com yet?Perfect wrote:I'm ecstatic! I just found Dragon Box 2 for $$36.99 on Buy, brand new! Aside from this, the cheapest one I could find was here for $150.
Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
http://www.buy.com/pr/SellerListings.as ... 2040&buy=1 It says it's temporarily out of stock, but lists an option to buy it from them or a 3rd party seller. My orders already been processed, so I know mines legit at least.orangebrick94 wrote:Did you purchase the last box 2 from buy.com yet?Perfect wrote:I'm ecstatic! The only 3rd party seller is listed at $280. So glad I got these when they came out.Perfect wrote: http://www.buy.com/pr/SellerListings.as ... 2040&buy=1 It says it's temporarily out of stock, but lists an option to buy it from them or a 3rd party seller.
