Eh, not quite so. There are many instances where the Anime looks at it from a different angle...or the Manga image is a page tall. Also, the images that have a lot of little things going on at once often get broken down into drawn out sets of individual pieces...Literally every scene from the manga is in the anime, drawn near enough identical. It's just some artists are better.
And...there's the whole thing about quality. Over 90% of the time, it looks genuinly better in the Manga, and sloppier in the Anime...
And a big testament to this is the way they handled Super Saiyan Aura's, and Chi in general. Just look at the Goku image with his hand out. Great example. In the Manga his hand gets this flourescent "Glow" around the outside, whereas the Anime actually forms a ball of Chi. The Aura, also, is a semi-clear radiant gold, wherea's the Manga is a flame of white.
Many differences...indeed...
