Budokai 3 Opening 'Error'? (Gohan Hair Color)

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before but I noticed something...odd in the opening;

The funniest thing is it's not like he's there for only 1 second lol. He's there for a good few seconds. Everything else apart from the SSjin looks exactly like Ultimate Gohan.

Oh yeah, for some reason, I misread both the title and screenshot as "Budokai 2".

It may be worth noting that you can have SS1/2 Gohan while wearing the orange gi in B3.

Otherwise, I think it looks like a rush recolor, like they animated Mystic Gohan then at the last second decided to make him a Super Saiyan like everybody else.

Kinda like the "false SS" in that filler episode.

I never thought there was any error going on there. Black-haired Ultimate Gohan isn't hype; Super Saiyan Gohan is. The fact that he's wearing the orange gi makes it even cooler.

I think that is fairly evident, especially in the scene where we are staring at the back of his head and it is just a solid dark yellow. No different shades, not even like in the pictures above, and no detail lines in the spikes like all the other Super Saiyan's have in the rest of the video. Icky... they should have just left him Ultimate, or at least do a decent job at editing it if they just HAVE to change it.

Nah, from the tones of yellow they used, that's clearly how it was supposed to be. And it looks awesome!

I guess maybe they decided SS Gohan would be a closer match to cooler than U. Gohan? That's the only reason I can think to change it.

If that were true Gogeta wouldn't have been getting his ass handed by Broli. I doubt Toei thought that much about it.

I remember seeing the lack of detail in Gohan's hair on the first or 2nd time playing the game, I just thought they got a little cheap on that part.

And Broli is way more powerful that what most people think. In both movies he was taken down in cheap ways. Like movie 10. The way Toei set Broli up made him unbeatable, But it was a movie.

Like in all movies, the villain is almighty powerfull, however is soon defeated in an unconvincing way. Also in Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans it is mentioned that Hatchiyack is stronger than Broli. So it appears that Broli strength is more of a momentary movie villain.

Yeah, I always thought Gohan's hair looked wrong in that opening. Like it has been suggested, I too think, it was a rush recolor job akin to Super Saiyan Goku/Regular state Goku vs. the Ginyu Force. So it's not an error, but a conscious last minute change.
