If it's any consolation, we're probably going to finish out the first round by the end of this chapter. Subsequent rounds will run quicker due to fewer competitors and the fights themselves will be more interesting thanks to fewer throw away matches.

What I'm hoping to see, though, is more interaction among the universes. They broke for lunch halfway through so maybe now they'll break for dinner/night. I really would not mind if the next main chapter slows down enough so we can get to know the characters and their motivations a bit better before jumping right into round 2. A chapter showing the goings on during the evening when no fights are scheduled could be very interesting. Yamcha/Android 18? U13 Saiyans and their counterparts? Villains scheming? And, you know, Bra shower scene.

This. I'd love to see more of that kind of stuff in the comic too. I also wouldn't put it past some of the villains to try and pull a Tsurusennin and attack someone outside of the arena, and based on what we've seen I don't think there's a thing the tournament runners could do to stop it.

Bra's boobs will be the award for all of us to share. All we need is somebody to convince Salagir. Somebody who is an insider. Somebody who may or may not be a translator. Somebody who will be the heart and soul of "the pact" should he accept and fulfill his mission.

Somebody.

It doesn't even have to be Bra's. As long as the character has good-looking boobs and they are shown to us it is okay.

Why do you guys want to see Bra's boobs so badly? If you want to see boobs, go to a porn site to see some real boobs...
rereboy wrote:Being a translator, I've already seen the outcome of the fight and its a short fight indeed but I'm glad that actually fleshed it out a bit (even with the ring situation) instead of just rushing to a one page or two page fight.
Do you mind to tell us if the first round will end in this chapter?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I haven't seen that far yet. We only see some pages in advance in order to translate them.

To some people, there is somewhat of an allure in seeing certain fictional characters displayed in a sexual light. That's why Rule 34 exists.

Well that and, brief nudity was kind of a small staple in the early days of DB. I for one think it'd be nice to see that make a return in a gag, just cause.

Seconding this. It's Vegetto, they'd have to be amazing.

Ink and paper clearly can't portray such awesomeness, so it should be left up to the reader to imagine instead of Gogeta Jr. drawing something that will neeee~ver be able to live up to the expectations.

Looks like we are going to see Gast in action soon and I'm pretty sure he is going to win. I doubt the Cell Jr is going to be that powerful.

Well, there goes my 'one hit K.O.' theory.

I'm glad it wasn't a one hit K.O. Would have been boring if it were.

This shall be interesting.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

Not only that, but when he blocked, it didn't really look like he was really even trying.

Looks like he was assessing Cell Jr's power...

I predict a SSJ2 Gohan style ploughing

I find it interesting that Cell Jr has SSj2 lightning in his aura.... guess he's definitely pretty tough.
