Eh, they don't remind of the r2 singles at all. r2 singles have a yellow background, normally depict a scene, with the Dragon Ball Z logo at the top of the case on top of a black background.

These cover arts just have a single character, white background with black letters, and the Orange Brick spine.

They are pretty good covers. It's too bad the first one is spoiled by a piece of shit dub dialogue.

Well, we should be glad it's only one set and not all of them.

I was thinking, you know how the first set had Goku on the cover and the signature card was Sabat, and then Set 2 had Vegeta on the cover and Schemmel's card? Maybe with these next sets we will have 2.1 with Krillin on the cover and a Nadolny sig card, and then for 2.2 we could have a Sonny Strait character card.

I doubt it. I actually think that was a mistake on their part. I don't think it was intentional. And if it was intentional, they've set themselves up for failure. You know they'll never be able to keep track of that in all 18 releases. *Points to DBox Disc placement in #6 & 7.*

Why don't they put every Chris Sabat character on one card and then just have him autograph that?

I'm surprised they didn't just make a separate card for each character and put one in each set. I think there might be enough characters. LOL.

So, who else here actually likes 2.1's cover? I think the adult Krillin thing actually works pretty well, and although it's not the most important thing, it does have a kind of a nostalgia factor.

I actually like both actually. This artwork and assumed correct consistacy makes me happy. Hell, not even the DBoxes had artwork that truly corresponded with the show, so I'm hoping the Blu-rays can. And actually? I like 2.2's art as well.

1 - Son Goku
2 - Vegeta
3 - Freeza
4 - Cell
5 - Gohan
6 - Piccolo (Not really seeing why)
7 - SSJ Son Goku

The majority of the artwork did correspond with the show.

Because the card wouldn't fit in the box.

But then there was the thing with the outfits of the characters. On Box 2, Vegeta was wearing his Cell arc clothes, and on Box 3, Freeza was in his first form.

You have to take into account these are taken from the Japanese Dragon Boxes, so it's not like the artwork is specifically made to match FUNimation's release in that retrospective.

Anyone notice that Level 2.2 is only episodes 52-67. 16 episodes. Opposed to the previous 17 episodes on the past 3.

Hm, well the back of the previous Levels confirm this as well. I'm too lazy to check the episodes counts for all of the Levels though.

I'm predicting Captain Ginyu on 3.1, Piccolo on 3.2, Freeza in his final form on 4.1, and Super Saiyan Goku on 4.2.

Ending with the last episode with Nathan Johnson's score.

Yeah, and after that every set will only have 15 episodes.
