Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
I did read your post. But Legendary Super Saiyan is different than Super Saiyan 2. We could get a Vegeta card , where depending on the condition, he would transform into either Super Saiyan Grade 2 or Super Saiyan 2. This wouldn't mean that after Grade 2, comes SSJ2.
On something else now, do we know what techniques the Avatar characters use?

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Nice! Damn, I would so love if the Dimps will make this a home console!!! Without the card system but used these models (as there will be probably huge roster with all the major characters and their forms) for the ultimate Budokai game! Damn..... This makes me sad, as I see two awesome games on arcade machines I would like to play and can't, and they wan't me to buy this hasty piece of shit for 60 bucks.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
The Namekian avatars have been a long time coming. I was actually expecting them a lot sooner, but it seems likely they were pushed back to allow the other avatars to tie in with the other promotions (new members of Freeza's race along side Chilled and Episode of Bardock, the reveal of the Saiyans having Super Saiyan to mirror Ultimate Tenkaichi/Blast).HECTOR4 wrote:NEWS:

Broli had SS3 last card set, he was included as one of the hidden transformations on the second Secret Rare of the set.
This was fairly expected, but disappointed that we seem to only have his second form...maybe they'll surprise us.
Boss Summons were hinted at a lot recently as well. A lot of recent videos have shown people playing with an Akina avatar and summoning Oozaru Vegeta...
Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Oh nice! Finally! So Hero is just a younger Piccolo basically, Berserker has the old clothing style of Damaio's demon clan and Elite resembles Dende in both facial expression and clothing. Very good, can wait to see the animated video promoting these guys!
I like the artwork for Broly and especially the one for Hildegarn. Do you think Janemba will also make an appearance? He's the only missing villain from the later films and arcs. Then we'll only be missing the first 3 movies... I wonder what'll happen after that? Will they move on to GT? I can already imagine Baby style avatars!

Yeah, didn't like GT much, but I liked Baby as villain a lot!

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Don't get your hopes up. Other than the first trailer, recent trends are just the Hero of the avatar trio being featured alongside Goku and the male Saiyan hero to fight the new enemy. The Elite and Berserker will probably get the shaft, which is...never mind, crude joke. lolDNA wrote:Oh nice! Finally! With the addition of Boss Summons, Janenba and Hildegarn may very well be the focus of this next set. Janenba as the main solo villain, and Hildegarn as the main summon. We'll just have to wait and see what they do, each new mechanic sort of changes what they do each set... As for where the'll go after that, they may move on to the next game. Most of these arcade games don't last much longer than a year or so, maybe two tops, Heroes seems popular...
Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Yeah I know it'll probably only be the Hero Namekian, but it'll still be something cool to watch.
Well, like you said, Heroes does seem to be very popular, but they are reaching the end of characters, like I said, they could go back to movies 1, 2 and 3, or maybe move on to GT, but I personally am not very hopeful about it.
TheDevilsCorpse: The card list on the official website begs to differ with you, Super Saiyan 3 Broly is NOT on the 7th Set, the two special rare cards are Bio Broly and a Super Saiyan Broly that allows you to transform either to Legendary or Bio states.

Great update! Are the Super Saiyan Girls released? Do we have pics or videos with them?

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
It does not. The SS Broli secret rare allows you to transform into either "LSS" or SS3. Bio Broli is treated as an entirely different character than Broli and can't be transformed into, just like Mecha Freeza, Mecha Coola, etc. I posted the video of his inclusion on the last page, and I've seen the card in action. You simply can't play with characters that aren't released. Believe me, I pay way too much attention to this game, much more than I should, I know what I'm talking about.DNA wrote:TheDevilsCorpse: The card list on the official website begs to differ with you, Super Saiyan 3 Broly is NOT on the 7th Set, the two special rare cards are Bio Broly and a Super Saiyan Broly that allows you to transform either to Legendary or Bio states.
BTW, here are the SS girls, which we've known about since the transformation was announced, since the SS Heroine was inlcluded in the announcement:

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
I got a different question. From what I understand, the sets have boss battles and all that jazz, there's different events that show in the trailers and so on so forth. This seems to form more or less a storyline, or at least events/plot points. Any idea on what they are? The different plot points I mean.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
As far as I can tell, they're really aren't any plot points to discuss. Its not like these missions happen in a specific time frame, or any real order, you can fight them with whatever characters you want from across the Ages, as long as they are available at the time. There is no real reason for any of the events happening, other than the game needs teams for you to fight. So Trunks just tells you vague things and takes you to the battle...DNA wrote:I got a different question. The game just uses either a main character, or those with a general theme, as missions for you to complete in typical arcade fashion. There are basic missions where you just face off against the characters, and there are those with special conditions that are designed to be much more difficult. The first type is the basic missions with scenarios where you are to "Defeat Babidi's Warriors" (Dabra, Pui Pui, Spopovich, Yamu, and Demon Prince Vegeta) or "Defeat the Female Characters" (Akina, Videl, Zangya, 18), and the second is the boss type where you generally face a single villain who is uber powered. The best example of this is the Freeza mission. You fight him and his ship, with him transforming one stage each turn, and attempt to defeat him before he can reach his 100% final form and delivered his ultimate attack. Sometimes the missions are slightly more specific, like the recent promo card set powering up Goku and the gang if you are fighting Broli, and there is currently a Broli mission going on, but you don't even have to use those cards...you could just use Cell, Freeza, 13, Hatchihyack, and Chilled if you wanted.
The closest thing we have to a plot was the Chilled mission, which actually asked you to travel 1,000 into the past and defeat Chilled with SS Bardock, SS Goku, and SS Gohan (Cell) on planet Plant.
Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Ok... I got the impression that there were specific events like the Saibaiman Invasion and the arrival of the Clan of Hera.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Nope, not really. There are technically plots here, because Trunks is requesting your help to battle against them, but overall its not any deeper than "Hey, we're adding in Coola and Cold to this set. Since we already released Freeza, lets have the kids fight against all of Freeza's family!". You don't have to use the avatar cards, you don't have to use hero characters, you don't even have to use the same team, so there isn't really and sort of plot or progression or anything.DNA wrote:Ok... I got the impression that there were specific events like the Saibaiman Invasion and the arrival of the Clan of Hera.
The Saibaiman mission was just them "invading Japan" and was to have the players defeat a certain number of the creatures across the country before the mission ended to prevent that. The Bojack mission was just akin to a typical arcade "Bojack and his crew have appeared and are causing havoc! Can you help defeat these mighty warriors?".

Is there such a thing as "main missions"?

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Normal Missions (Nothing on website), Boss Missions(http://www.carddas.com/dbh/game/boss7.html), THE Boss Mission (http://www.carddas.com/dbh/mission/mission_broly.html), and Hero Road: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/news/63.html
Normal Missions are simple things like facing Yamcha, or Goku and Gohan, Cell and Freeza. Boss Missions are themed by the current card set, since we are on #7 that would be Buu and Broli. For lack of a better term, THE Boss Mission is the ultimate challenge for the set, usually designed to have players try to reach some max amount of collective point goal before it ends, currently its Paragus and Broli.
Hero Road was just introduced. You seem to pick a team with your avatar and then face off with other teams based around a specific avatar. After winning, you can unlock the next level and move on. There doesn't seem to be a story or anything, just a challenge mode of sorts with themes levels. The first is the Hero Majin, Fat Buu, Ms. Satan, SS3 Goku and SS3 Gotenks I think, I haven't seen any videos of the other levels yet though...but I haven't looked recently either.
