I still don't like the music they used for that scene. Really underwhelming if you ask me .
The music didnt fit the scene at all, I kinda fell like a letdown.

Clinkenbeard did better than I expected, though.

Oh, Miss Clinkenbeard, I was a fool for doubting you! You did fantastic! None of that "#16, you loved life..." crap.

I feel like the scream could have been even more powerful if they had used "Spirit vs. Spirit". Hell, even the piece Yamamoto used would have enhanced it better. Jeremy Inman was wonderful as #16; he's really come a long way from his previous attempt at this scene.

Yeah, Clinkenbeard's scream was pretty good.

Not a fan of the hackjob editing done for Cell smashing #16's head, though. You see Cell's shadow come over it, and then the pieces flying. They even took the sounds effect out.

Oh, the sound effect is still there. It's just delayed by 20 seconds.

Anyway, I definitely love Clinkenbeard's scream more than Nadolny's.

Th-

That's what that was? I thought it was some sort of figurative echo.

I guess even Funimation makes audio mistakes here and there. That's a really delayed SFX.

Eh, cut the internal monologue and Nadonly's was fine.

But wow, now that it was brought up, that sound delay on #16's crushing cut the drama for a second.

I thought the scream was very good but the music for that scene really doesn't fit and it ruins the impact.

Mondays code is "RAGE"

as for Gohan's SSJ2 scream it was great, but I did have one problem with the scene in general for some reason during the SSJ2 scene the volume for the scream took a major drop to the point where the scream is almost inaudiable (was the scream supposed to do that I hope not), but from what I did hear, the scream was perfect for the scene.

I really enjoyed Jeremy's new take on Android 16's voice. He really did do an excellent job on the role.

Has anyone come up with any tracks could of done the scene a bit better justice?

Argh, if only the music scandal hadn't hit so early we might of have SSJ2 Kai Dub Gohan with "Gohan's Awakening" as the track name suggests.

I actually think that the music worked pretty well with the scene. I can't explain it, but I felt like it captured the essence of the scene pretty well for a replacement track.

The fact that we actually got silence before the scream made it the best English dubbed version of it. It made it feel the way it was supposed to be done. A sudden explosion of anger, rather than a power up fueled by giving yourself a pep talk.

16 was most definitely a delight. I finally felt that sentiment from 16's speech now. I could actually feel for 16 rather than seeing him just as the guy who made Gohan transform

Dameon's new Cell was awesome as usual. The reason why I prefer his new Cell over his old Cell was because the old Cell was good, but it always felt over the top, like he was trying too hard to impress the viewers. Plus, his new Cell sounds quite like an English dub version of Norio Wakamoto's Cell. Though I'm surprised I didn't hear him say "SILENCE TOASTER!" after he crushed 16. Guess they didn't want to reuse that line, as funny as it was.

So, am I the only one who was taken out of the scene by the voice filter on 16? :(

I felt the same way. It was kind of weird that they added reverb or whatever on him.. I guess they were trying to capture that he was starting to malfunction or something.

It was also weird that there was no crushing sound when Cell stepped on him.

For twenty seconds or so.

Honestly, I think they should've showed Gohan's face, played the crushing sound effect, and then shown the parts scattering.

Wow. So they can show Gohan decapitating a Cell Jr., but not #16's head getting smashed?

Whatever. It was cool to see, either way.

Man, they didn't cut anything out of Gohan killing the Cell Jrs.

Also, today's code is "Warrior".

My guess is because there was a whole bunch of blood gushing out of #16's head when Cell smashed it, and Gohan killing the Cell Jrs. was pretty much bloodless, from what I can remember.
