Nice Raithos! I promised myself I wouldn't buy anymore figures unless I
really liked it. So the only one I bought was the Casual Style Goku figure. But you gotta show me what this figure looks like standing next to the Wild Style Goku. That is, if you have the Wild Style Goku figure. Those two always looked very similar to me in form of style.
OMFG lol funny that you mention that becuase that's exactly what I thought of when I saw him. Of course I have the Wild Style I actually had to dig him up, but yeah definitely:
I can honestly say WOW to the SSJ3, like seriously
WOW. I've been anticipating this figure since it's conception almost a year and a half ago and today I am not dissapointed. The detail is disgustingly wonderful, from the veins running in his biceps to the top of his hands, The battle damaged look fits him great too. I love the arrogant smirk, it adds an element of darkness to him and it's great. Crazy paint job and really nice size. Not too big but not too small. I think he's just the right size! My only complaints are that I wish the hair was a more vibrant golden deep yellow, and his overall colour pallet was a little brighter... like how it is on the box, and that the stick to support his hair would have a hole to stick the hair into to lock it in place instead of just a curved surface. Other than that I rate this like a 9/10. Wonderful figure, super cheap and well worth it XD.
He was one of my most anticipated figures almost since I started collecting. Had to get 3 of course.
Love this figure, simply amazing to have in my collection. Details are top notch, Banpresto has really outdone themselves on this one!
Love how huge and well sculpted the hair is!
SCultures that I have so far, I was super focused on getting the SSJ3 so I completely bypassed volume 2 (Vegeta & Android 20 [Gero]) and Cell as well. I plan to get the Cell however as he looks downright awesome, and the Vegeta also. I will take my time with the Gero as he seems to not be doing too well in shops as he is available everywhere.
SCultures SSJ3 Goku and Wild Style Goku have a striking similarity in terms of looks and sculpt/design. Similarities in the torn clothing and battle damage effects. The SCultures SSJ3 Goku harnesses a darker colour pallet, while the Wild Style Goku uses a brighter more vibrant colour pallet. I would prefer the bright vibrant colours that are present on the Wild Style to have been continued on the SCultures, especially in the hair. I think a more vibrant golden yellow would have fit it perfectly (like the box art). It's still an amazing figure though. I feel the darker colour pallet gives the SSJ3 a more worn, rugged and beat look which can add to realism. The Wild Style SSJ battle damage looks good, but also looks a little too plastic like gum or paper mache. With these photos you can see the blatant colour difference between the Wild Style and SCultures.
