Could Shenlong sever Kami and Piccolo's bond?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Basically. I mean, in terms of the story, Muuri's balls are better than Dende's.

Giggity.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

Muuri's Namek balls are probably bigger than Dende's Earth balls.

No, I don't think so. You can't make a necklace out of them either. But I guess the Earth balls are smaller because it's part and parcel out of the whole searching thing. Daizenshuu 7 says that the Earth balls are as big as baseballs, while the Namek balls are about as big as basketballs. Also, the Namek balls are 10 times as large as the Earth balls.

The diameter of a baseball is 7.5 cm, while a basketball is 24 cm. That's not 10 times... :?

I don't think the staff really cared about the maths. They were probably just making general estimates.

Like I said...they just don't care. It's not as if they took out a measuring ruler to accurately ascertain whether or not it was 10 times than the Earth Dragon Balls.

The point is it is big.

Here's my take on the deal:

Kami and Piccolo are two halves of the same whole, right? Well, yeah.

But they're also the same being, just different parts of that being inhabiting different bodies, as has been stated before.

So, unless Shenlong can separate different aspects of someone's personality into separate beings, then he cannot do such a thing for Kami and Piccolo. There's really no "bond" there, in the conventional sense. It's not as simple as "If one dies, the other dies, too."

Also, there's no such thing as Namekian "fission". The reason Piccolo ever existed in the first place is because he expelled the evil from his body. There's nothing Namekian about it, just magic/being a god. Boo does the same thing.
