Z Vizbig 3 going the way of Dragonbox 2?

Post by NessMudkip » Mon Dec 26, 2011 11:20 am

I've been looking around for the 3rd Dragon Ball Z Vizbig everywhere, and it either seems to be out of stock, or at a ludicrous price (200 to 500 dollars). Does anyone know why this is?

The Dragon Ball Z VIZBIG Volume 3 has been keeping in stock at my local bookstore. I notice it all the time because whomever stocks the manga makes sure that there's one volume of every 14 of 'em lined up (they do the same with the tankoubon-style Viz releases, lining up all 42 volumes to display the spine art).

Huh that's pretty neat, Barns and Noble here really doesn't care, sometimes I see the complete set, sometimes I see 5 volumes total.

VIZBIG's have been going in and out of print. Try waiting a little while for it to back.
- Been a Dragon Ball fan ever since 1995 (at the time, I was 7 years old).
- I prefer Saffron Henderson's Kid Gohan and Kid Goku over Stephanie Nadolny's.
- I still hope for a redub of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z with FUNimation's current cast.
- I prefer to watch Dragon Ball Z with the Faulconer Score, however I do not mind the original Japanese score.

Yeh I've noticed this for the last month atleast, quite shocked tbh. It was even some ridiculous price on VIZ's official website.

I'll make sure to think about that the next time I'm in a book store. I think the nearest Barnes and Noble (on Hulen Street in Fort Worth, TX) had it the last time I was there, but I can't remember for sure.

Here in Canada, the Android volume is impossible to get at all! I have all of them but that one and it is so frustrating! It is never in at all! All the others, especially 1-4 are ALWAYS in!
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Huh. I bought Z VizBig 3 like two weeks ago for the standard price at Barnes and Noble.

Look online such as Amazon, buy, or use google/yahoo shopping. I found all of the Vizbigs combined at around $200 that's normal price!

I think just has these in printing cycles, but I never expected dragon ball to be out of print..

I don't see why anyone would buy them at that price... they aren't like the Dragon Box sets... they aren't exactly highly collectable or anything.

I wouldn't say that. They're definitely more desirable than the regular Tankobon.
