Customer service is going to credit me back $17.50.
I'm still thinking if I should go ahead and buy the last three Dragon Boxes I need now or wait for another price drop. But I'm also afraid if they sell out!! :?

I hear ya. That's why I ordered 7 today because I was worried they might run out. It' also why I ordered directly from Amazon as opposed to a 3rd party or another site. Their prices fluctuate so often but their customer service is so good you can usually work something out.

If you're willing to risk it.

This seller has a bad rep for not responding to emails at all. Items frequently are returned damaged at the cost of the buyer due to this. Also, well known for canceling orders without any notice due to the item being out of stock. Don't just take my word for it, read their amazon reviews and google their company name.

He does have 92% positive, so it can't be all bad.

God these prices are ridiculous, and I take it they're all like this all over the online stores, right?

I'm so happy I bought DBox 4. The guy from whom I bought it just upgraded the price to £99,99. Whew!

Exactly, I try to check out and it says it's no longer available. Even though it's still listed.

The local MovieStop I went to today still had all the Dragon Boxes, with exception to the 2nd one.
I have a Dragon Ball collection of sorts which can be seen here.

Reasonable prices? I live outside the US, I would need a third party to sell me one.

So glad I have them all.

FUNimation sure did screw over a lot of fans by not making enough of these things to keep the first few in stock after the entire set was released.

For example, I got box 1 when it first came out, and saw that box 7 wouldn't be out for a good while, so I was gonna wait until they were all released to pick them up, so I could watch them all in a row. Luckily I checked amazon and forums like this one around the time 7 had been released, and found out what I had actually truly feared may happen even before I realized they really were a "limited" release and were discontinued from this thread.

Others weren't so lucky, and this sucks big time, since this is the best DVD release DBZ will ever get, and stupid Funimation doesn't even try to make them as popular as the craptastic orange bricks. These things should have replaced all the OB's in the store shelves, then they would have sold much better and FUNi could have made more.

I'm conflicted on this viewpoint. The fact that FUNimation had the audacity to foist a product like the orange bricks on us and then expect us to pay for a better set immediately afterwards sucks pretty hard. Making said better set a limited release and keeping the orange bricks as the "standard" DVDs is pretty bad, too. Still, I can't help but feel lucky that we got a chance to buy them at all. Note that I'm not saying I'm thankful to FUNimation. One doesn't deserve thanks for fixing a problem one caused to begin with*. I just feel that the odds of us getting this opportunity were never in our favor, and I'm happy that we had this chance.

*The problem being the horrible decisions regarding the presentation of the orange bricks. I don't blame them for not having Dragon Box footage at the time, as Toei is notoriously dickish about giving subpar masters to their overseas distributors (for early episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, they infamously gave Saban used retail VHS copies of Zyuranger). Even so, the bricks could have been much better than they were.

7's price fell down, but for only a very short time, and now it's back up to $50 after only about a day. Walmart also had more in stock, but again for only a day. What the hell is going on?

They should have put the Falconer score on the English track instead of English voices and Japanese soundtrack. I've read around and a majority of dubbies say they would have bought the Dragon Boxes if they did that. But then these were always meant to be fans of the original Japanese version.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

The Dragon Box release was not aimed at them.
