I thought the video quality was downright awful for the IC airings. Way too dark and a ton of dirt on screen.

I remember a hairball appearing on screen when Majin Vegeta sacrificed himself. :x

Z had end-cards?!

Even though I watch currently-running Toei shows that have a new end-card every week, it never occurred to me that Dragon Ball had end-cards because I've never seen them anywhere.

*Stares at tiny screen-cap with interest*.

I wonder if there's a gallery full of these somewhere out there on the internet. These are too cool/obscure not to have been preserved somewhere, right?

I love that just when you think you know all there is, something "fresh" like this pops up. Good stuff.

So very cool! Especially that third one with Goku and the three stages of Gohan. Thank you so much!

The artwork seems nice and on-model too. :3

Cool, I always wondered where they got this picture from, because it was used as cover on Phillippinese soundtrack -
Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z - Songs of High Spirited saga vol. 1

I've never seen this picture anywhere else.
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

Wow, I remember watching it on the IC channel, good times.

The artwork was drawn by Nakatsuru Katsuyoshi for a poster made before Z started airing. Vol 1 of the Korean VHS release has it on its cover, too. *Edit: Just noticed that this clearly differs from the one used in the endcard.

Kind of getting off-topic, but here's one from the first TV special. I wonder whether this was used on IC.

Cool! What does that read? My Katakana reading skills are shit. I do know that the top part reads Doragon Boru Z but what does the second part and the last part of the Bardock picture read?

スペシャル = Special

Not quite sure what the last one is. It's not "end."

It says "owari," which does indeed mean "the end." :P

I totally watched this back in the day.

I was probably 10-11 when I saw my first episode of DBZ on the International Channel. Gohan was teaching Videl how to fly, and from that day on, I would watch it every Sunday night at 9. I was so far ahead of my friends at school. I would blow them away with spoilers.

Ah, sweet sweet nostalgia. :D

IC's airings of GT were my first exposure to the original Japanese version of anything Dragon Ball.

You mean the japanese DBOX doesn't have the end cards in the extra's menu or anything? These are rare then.

Also why did Toei change the NEP>ED order for Z and GT on the DVDs?
