I just bought Dragon Box 4 from Amazon.co.uk. Cost me 40 euros, not a bad deal at all. It is supposedly new and comes from America. Does sound a bit fishy but we'll see how it goes.

We actually I am lol...it just so happened that I clicked on it roughly 2 hours later -_-

About the Dragon boxes I wouldn't recommend people to spend crazy amounts. Because there will be reasonable ones that pop up on eBay/Amazon marketplace. I remember recently when Dragon box 2 was in high demand there were at least 5 which went for under $50  Point just proven by 'DNA'. :D

Has anyone contacted Funimation regarding a possible release of Dragon Boxes for DB or GT?

I don't see why not I've ordered a countless number of things from Amazon.com (I'm from the UK) and I've always imagined you could do the same thing the other way around. Also it says 'In stock. Dispatched from NC, United States' So I would be surprised if he wouldn't ship domestically.
EDIT:
Just went onto 'amazon.co.uk' help and it does indeed offer international shipping.

I jumped on that last #4 on the UK amazon. I't seemed legit. And if it's not, Amazon has the greatest customer service ever so... Oh god, I just need two. Gotta be patient, something I am so not used to lol.

Yes, it was used, but volume 2 was actually the cheapest of the sets for me at $12.59!
If you have a MovieStop nearby (started off by the people who run Gamestop but located in only about 10-12 states), you should give them a call. Dragon Box sets are $19.99 used and they're currently running a 40% off used anime sale.

I purchased numero 4 in early December and it still hadn't shipped. I've just been told that the seller's US suppliers didn't have stock available. Subsequently, I've placed an order with PlanetAxel for it. I'm aware of it's 'backorder' status however, I'd previously received the fifth set from the same website under a similar conditional purchase.

I'll keep you guys posted.
Update Backordered with supplier. Awaiting stock arrival

Ladies and gents, do you reckon this confirms I won't be getting the set from PlanetAxel? Have they really ordered available stock or just contacted their supplier to send more without verifying if they actually have stock?

Cancel your order and order from somewhere that is in stock.

Anyways, back to that auction I was watching. Auction ended with 12 bids @ $72.69.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Rightstuf is having a FUNimation sale, I just bought Box 7 for $38.99. With that I am now done, and ready to have my wish granted by Shenlong. :P

EDIT: Thank you Craddle for telling me the link was dead.
Dead link for some reason, so I gave the link to Box 7.

Man, I want to say... this crazyness with the Dragonboxes is put into extreme perspective against what I just went through trying to buy Gundam UC v2 on BD.
My favorite movie henchman is Sancho.

Your link is dead. Price dropped again to $35.99. They have #3,5,6,7 for anyone that's interested.

I'm highly considering just dropping $80 on the next Box 4 that I see new, I just want to get it and not worry about it going $100+

Hey! Can anyone tell me if the first Dragon-box is pricey now? or out of print? I have that one and I was just curious :?
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

It's out of print and it can be a bit pricey. Recent listings on eBay in the past week show that it's been selling for in between $45-80. Amazon prices are pretty high too.
I have a Dragon Ball collection of sorts which can be seen here.
