IMO it's not half bad to be honest.

So much better without the inner dialogue, I've forgotten how good Nadolny's scream was here.

I will rag on the Funi dub until the cows come home but that ending narration is fantastic.

Great job on the video, man.

Sorry to say but I've seen a few better attempts on youtube where the quality doesn't drop out on the song halfway through. I just have no idea where I could find them, they might not even exist on the web anymore. It's good for a quick mock-up, which you described it as to begin with. My biggest problem is that you can still here some of Nadolny's added dialogue at the beginning; it's super faint, but as you fade into the scream you can hear the very end of it. Oh well I guess.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Meh, I just did the best with what I had and threw something together for the heck of it.

I love that song so much! Oddly enough, I've never seen the scene with that song intact because the dub took it out. I've always meant to watch the Japanese version of the scene and never got around to it and man, that was amazing! So damn powerful!

Not bad, actually. As much as I loathe the original FUNi dub and Nadolny's "performance," I will admit that this was one of the only good screams she's ever done. And thank God you got rid of that stupid monologue too. Although, I still think the narrator's stuff at the end sorta dampened the impact of the main chorus during that scene. But to me, this just goes to show how the music can really be the only thing turning a bad scene into a relatively decent one sometimes.

Aside from the music dropping in and out, YES.

The scream and the monologue do tie together a bit, so you can't entirely remove the last bit folks.

Yeah, that's the problem I had with the monologue with it being combined into the scream.

I actually don't think it's that bad and it works to a degree with what I've presented IMO.

I would like that, Nadolny's scream only sounds great with/out insert music.

If anyone could provide a link to the "best" version, I'd appreciate it.
